Bath Outdoors

Please please please make the time to visit this shop!!! Popped in today not for anything in particular but we like to have a nosey around any independent outdoorsy shops and we were met with the kindest man who you could tell was so passionate about everything he sold. Although we didn't buy anything this time his knowledge on the various things we were looking at was amazing. I have no doubts that I would go back to this shop in the future. I think I might even give a hammock a go after hearing all the great things about them. I don't usually write reviews but this place definitely deserved one. A real hidden outdoorsy gem in Bath.

Simply a bikepacker’s dream!!!While searching online for some bikepacking bags, I stumbled across Bath Outdoors. As it’s very closed to where I live I decided to ride down to see if I could find something suitable for my frame size. I was immediately greeted by Darroch which was very friendly and oh boy does he know his stuff!! Despite the shop not being overly big, they stock lots and lots of products. Darroch took his time to show me lots of different options for my bike and even invited me to take part on one of their group bikepacking nights.I ended up buying a frame bag but could have ended up spending a lot more and most definitely will do in the near future.Needless to say that I’ll be back to visit Darroch and I’ll recommend Bath Outdoors to all my bikepacking buddies.

We were really happy to find Darroch and Bath Outdoors. We wanted to test ride the rad expand bike and Darroch spent a lot of time helping us to try out the bike and gave us really great advice about how to configure our security and safety and maintain the bikes. We bought all the kit we needed from Darroch, ordered two bikes and had them shipped to Bath Outdoors for the build and set up. On collection day Darroch took time to explain everything, show us all the work he had done, gave us a beautiful test ride route and made any adjustments for us afterwards. I will be booking our servicing here next year (I live in Birmingham but it is worth the drive there and back!) and I recommend Darroch to everyone. A fantastic service from a very friendly, knowledgable and skilled person. Thanks so much!

Did a brilliant bike tour with Wayne! Perfect way to explore Bath and surrounding countryside. We did a group ride, great local history knowledge from Wayne, then a loop round the canal and through long tunnel which was unique experience. First rate kit too, with Marin MTBs.

Hired bikes for the day, routes helpfully mapped out on website, but what separated this place from others was the owner. Darrachs a top fellow, was great with our kids too and just made the whole experience that much better.

Fabulous service from Bath Outdoors - a company with a real passion for what they do and getting people exploring the great outdoors. Bespoke packages offered at an excellent price point along with lots of expert knowledge and guidance. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for outdoor adventure kit!

Excellent service from knowledgeable enthusiast - friendly, patient & professional. Thank you.The Stunt Puppy - Stunt Runner - Dog Leash is a well thought out design & includes important features I have been unable to find in other running leads including:- Leash can be quickly unclipped from separate adjustable belt- Leash length is adjustable too - a crucial feature - (length of many other running leashes are determined by how much you use around waist)- Bungee section has perfect amount of give and leash is super light & hangs well & not too long to get caught under feet

I would highly recommend this place. From start to finish communication with Darroch was seamless, helpful and quick to respond. Information provided on booking was great and directions to find them, perfect.On the day Keith was our guide, he was great, knowledgeable and full of interesting history titbits of Bath, not forgetting some good recommendations on pubs and bars. The route we took went around quite a lot Bath, there were a few hills but nothing too strenuous. At each hill Keith reminded us to change gear to help us get up easily, he was also very good at reminding us to look out for pedestrians.The bikes were amazing, well maintained and really nice to ride. We had a mixed group of abilities so having great bikes made it really easy for everyone.It was such a great experience and really was a fantastic addition to the hen weekend, thank you so much.

Highly recommend! Keith was a great and knowledgeable guide. The equipment was top shape. The route showed the best of Bath and the Avon Valley from the canals, aqueduct, and train tunnel. Darroch was easy to communicate with. This was the highlight of my weekend in Bath. These shop is the real deal. Every piece of equipment up for rent appeared well maintained. I am looking forward to returning to exploring more biking..and paddle boarding on my next trip.
