The Groom Room Poole

I have used the groomroom on 4 different accounts,They have got worse on every ACCATIONS,I did book a full groom,They chopped her fur off on her head and body,Leaving her feet, toes and nails,What a joke,surpose to be professional groomers,The price they charge is ridiculous for what they were surpose to do,That's a bath cut & dry,Nails cut, ears and eye's cleaned,They give a full groom cut & dry with in 30 minutes,I have had dogs for 40 years and never known a groomers like the groom room to be so disrespectful to people's pets,I will call the manager tomorrow and take my dog back to be finished.Do not use the groom room Holes bay.

Always a pleasure to visit the groom room. Master Jack always comes out happy.

We had a lovely experience here, my siberian husky was rather nervous going in but the staff were so friendly and gentle with her that she felt comfortable and happy being washed and dried. Fantastic experience and now she is incredibly clean and fluffy :)

Lovely staff spent time with a form to write down everything that you wanted ask about diets and allergies and you can see everything they are doing through the big glass windows have booked her in 3 times since going the first time

We'd booked our 5 month old puppy in for a puppy groom on a Sunday at 3pm, id written in the booking comments that our pup is nervous with brushing, never reactive just cowers away and this was never mentioned by the staff when we arrived. We dropped him off and was told we'd need to wait outside to collect him as the store would be shut so as we live round the corner we came home. 7 minutes after leaving our pup we had a phone call to collect him we were told he was aggressive and had even bitten one of the groomers. We had a 50% off voucher and so was charged £2.50 for the pleasure absolutely mortified we left without commenting further ( other than profusely apologising) after stewing all week about our pup biting them ( he has never shown any aggression to anyone, children, us, strangers, dogs even when we have groomed him it so it didn't sit right) we have taken him to another groomers today and explained our ordeal and guess what, our dog didn't bite.. he was scared and tried to run away from the brush as we'd already explained to the groom room and now we have had a successful groom, we feel now that the groom room simply couldn't be bothered to tailor to our pup being scared and well at the end of the Sunday diary they clearly just wanted to go home... we will not be returning to the groom room and advise anyone that has a nervous/scared dog or be it a first time groom to stay well clear and approach a local independant groomer who takes care of our well loved pets and is happy to tailor the groom to the dogs needs rather than a conveyor belt of appointments.

I was very worried as Peanut can be very nervous but he was made lots of fuss of and his very first grooming experience was so amazing they said he fell asleep that’s how great they were and the photo here shows just what an amazing job they did, we will definitely be back with both dogs ❤️

Really disappointed. First time my dog has been here, was greeted with misery. My dog was shaved, his breed doesn’t need shaving, he looks ridiculous. His tail has been cut like a Chihuahua! Clearly don’t know how to cut certain breeds. If you don’t want to work there, why work there? I’ve been to many previous groomers over the years I’ve had dogs and every single groomer has been really friendly with my dogs, here they just grab the lead and shuffle you on. No greeting to the dog at all, my dog pretty much bolted out the door to see me. Makes me wonder.Won’t ever be returning. The customer service was non existent, no clue on styling at all and my dog doesn’t even smell like he’s had a bath! £40! What a waste of money.

We said again and again; “we have a large double coated dog. He is a puppy and he is from rescue therefore we are not sure if he ever had a bath. He can be snappy because he is not that used to people and unknown environments and he might need a muzzle”.We were assured that this is absolutely fine......after all they are experts and professionals and they know what they are doing, so the appointment was booked. I thought that my husband will need to be present at the beginning of the wash for the reasons above and that is the best if he comes as well.We drop our dog off and we were told, after explaining the matter AGAIN that all will be fine.We were called 5 min later, after dropping him off, to be told that they can’t wash him because he is not behaving and that he is panicking.They knew what to expect before the booking and we explain everything AGAIN when we dropped him off. We waisted our day completely. I wish we were told; “sorry, as we are not experts in dog behaviour nor we are experienced handling rescue dogs, unfortunately we can’t wash your dog”. That would be absolutely fine, I have no problem with that, we would look alternative options. However as we were told “ all is good, it will be fine, bring him in” that is not OK. The way they took him in; he was in the new and extremely small environment, I didn’t feel assured that it will be ok. Very unprofessional. He is our baby and all dogs/animals should be treated with the respect they deserve. Be very careful where you take and leave yours pets.

Masiy is amazing at theGroom room Poole I've been taking my Sprocker Spainal just coming up to a yearI know my little boy is in safe hands with Masiy and always has a fabulous groom also knowing Masiy takes extra careSpecially knowing my little boy has just had both of his back legs cruitate ligament operated onSo I cannot speak highly enough about Masiy .
