The work they did was good - no complaints there - but the customer service is non-existent. The man who served me is very brisk, bordering on rude, and made me feel quite uncomfortable. I think I got five words from him the entire time. I'm not looking for amazing customer service, but enough so I'm not made to feel like they don't want me there. I've been a couple of times for alterations, but I'm at the point where I won't be going back.The place is also cash only which is very odd in this day and age.

They replaced a zip on a jacket. 3 weeks later it started coming away from the jacket so went back and explained (best I could with language barrier) he said he would fix it and come back in 10 minutes. When I returned to collect the jacket he charged me for it despite it being their mistake! Not impressed!

Have gone to Golden Stitches for at least 17 years. Usman, the owner is one of life's gentlemen. Currently the chap who is running it for him is superb also. These guys are our friends - you will not be disappointed with their skill. Altho there is no card machine, you are given a ticket for collection of your item(s) onto which he writes the cost.

Went to them when i was younger to tailor my prom dress. My first time back in years to get a bridesmaids dress trimmed and still fantastic. The owner is lovely. Always has a quick turn around of a few days. I will always go here if i need alterations to my clothes.

Got a shirt nicely altered in under 24 hours. Staff very pleasant. Not 5 stars because price wasn't low and they only accepted cash payment.

Had a stuffed animal with a snagged embroidered nose and asked them to sew it back together as it has sentimental value, pretty easy job, but they completely ruined it and made the circular nose into essentially a long row of stitches. instead of calling me and telling me when they figured out that they couldn’t do it, they completely ruined my stuffed animal. don’t go here, it’s a waste of your time and money.

I would absolutely disagree with the negative review left. I have been using Golden Stitches for some time and have always found the quality of their work excellent and very reasonably priced. Also I have found the staff very friendly, their english is a little lacking but I have never found this a problem. From the tone of the negative review left and the name calling which seems totally unnecessary and bordering on a little racist, I am not surprised that the staff showed her the door. I have always found them friendly and helpful.
