Visited to buy some food. The food department is situated in the basement, somewhat subterranean. Nice choice of products, good quality but rather expensive. My jacket got caught in the hinge of my hand basket, member of staff told me that I wasn't the first. Easy to use service tills.

You know what you're going to get at Marks and Spencer. Good choice of all types of mens and womens clothing. Also has a decent cafe. Prices are not always the best.

Waited in a long queue only to be told when at the till that no hot food available as the oven isn’t working . I think it would have been helpful maybe to put a sign up or let customers know in advance.

I was speaking with a staff member in the clothing department as I had a few questions and I was asked to leave by a manager I believe her name was “Sally” her reasoning was I was “distracting her staff as I wasn’t going to be purchasing anything” Therefore I took my business elsewhere and won’t be returning. She really shouldn’t be management if this is how she treats her customers.

I came in not looking suspicious at all, grabbed my items and went to the self checkout then I see a karen tell someone to go and check us out and this staff member comes and stands directly behind us as we scan our items with a harsh look on his face racially profiling us by the colour of my skin and glaring at us like we are criminals. We then quickly paid and left , I have never felt this uncomfortable in a store before and have never had this problem elsewhere, I would not set foot in this store if you are anything but white!

Clean & tidy store but very few staff. No one manning the lingerie section so left without buying anything.

Food and cake is delicious, no doubt about that. BUT- been told there’s 15 minutes wait but we waited for toasts 30 minutes. Cutlery and mugs dirty, which is a huge disappointment. Top up your cleaning!

The food store is in the basement and has a comprehensive range of fresh, frozen and store cupboard items. There is a Greetings card section, bakery, and wines, beers,and spirits section. The staff are friendly and helpful. With ladies and men's fashion on the ground and first floors this store sited in the historic High Town area is recommended for a visit.

It has a new layout now in the ground floor. I quite enjoyed my visit this time. Supposed to purchase a belt only, but ended up buying more things from the foodhall. My husband and I found a super soft thick cut white bread there. We love it and are getting it regularly now. This is their own brand bread and it's cheap. If you like soft bread this is worth trying and highly recommended.
