Good experience ordering 18 sheets of materials for a project. They offered quickest delivery time and reasonable pricing.However, almost all my sheets came 2, 3 or 4mm too big, resulting in lots of cutting time I hadn't planned for. A couple of pieces were more like a few feet too big, they just didn't bother.Don't know why they'd do this, but it definitely diminishes the experience. I'd suggest they buy a big cnc, the work would be fast and dead on accurate.

Just had my delivery of tonne bags of stone dust from the Newport branch. Having had a awful customer experience with a leading DIY company on a previous delivery I couldn't fault Terry Howells today. Driver was amazing, very polite even had time for a chat . The best part is it saved me over £60 ordering from here. Thanks and will definitely be a returning customer.

Im not from Wales I'm from the black country where we have many timber yards . So when I moved here I was struggling to find a decent place to get my materials. Iv been living in Cardiff for 8 years now and only get my matirials fro Terry howells Newport. Worth the drive nice straight timber good staff always up for a laugh feel right at home and the prices are good

I visited today to pick up some wood to repair our fence. As it is the summer holidays, I had to bring my two children. This was my first visit to the store. One of your colleagues, Conner, was excellent. He asked me what I needed and collected everything and even put it in my car! All I had to do was pay. This was an extremely kind thing to do and made my trip easier with having my two children with me. I really appreciated all your help! The lady at the till was also very polite. Thank you TH, excellent helpful staff and I will definitely be returning!

A good supplier as long as you pick your timber in person. Had a sheet of 4' X 8' ply delivered this week and it was warped to high heaven and whoever put it on the truck must still be laughing! I had thew day off to do the work and did my best with what was supplied. Also, tradesmen I talk to are telling me timber prices to them are now back to pre-covid prices, when will the general pubic see their prices reduced also?

I was very hesitant in returning to Terry Howell's Newport branch, after a previous negative experience with them, some years ago. However, there is new staff employed. I ordered some materials to be delivered. Staff was very helpful and friendly (Lauren and a male colleague, who's name I did not get). Delivery was on time. Delivery driver was also friendly. The store layout is much better than previously too. Glad I returned. Based on this experience, I will return, but please keep this type of customer service up.
