George Coll painter and decorator

George did an excellent job of our hall and bedroom. He was reliable and did everything exactly how we wanted. He went above and beyond to make it look perfect as the walls weren’t in good condition before. Would highly recommend him, we are so pleased with it.

We were very impressed with George when we asked him to paint the ceiling of our kitchen. This was a much more demanding job than might be thought. Our kitchen is a converted chapel with a vaulted ceiling with oak beams and tongue and groove oak panelling. At its centre it is nearly four metres in height. George was able to advise us on how to treat the wood tp prevent old varnish penetrating the new paint. All the work was carried out quickly and professionally and we would have no hesitation in recommending George to others. We're looking forward to his return to finish the walls, door frames and other woodwork once the new kitchen is installed.

George went the extra mile to decorate the full interior of our new house starting just after Christmas and working solidly for over a month! Fantastic job transforming a dated looking house into a modern fresh look. Would highly recommend to anybody wanting a quality job done on time at a fair price!

We asked George to carry out a lot of painting for us including the awful job of spindles! Incredible workmanship and very reliable. Highly recommended. We already have the next jobs booked!

I cannot say enough good things about George. He recently painted my house and it looks absolutely fantastic. He spent a lot of time prepping the walls and he is an outstanding painter with years of experience. The walls and the woodwork turned out beautifully, and the house feels like a completely transformed space.George works incredibly hard, is super reliable, extremely professional and went out of his way to accommodate a tight deadline. He is also a perfectionist and you will not find a more accurately or beautifully painted wall in Helensburgh!I cannot recommend George enough. He is not only an outstanding painter & decorator but a warm and kind human being with immense patience and a great sense of humour!

We’re delighted with the recent work we had done by George Coll.Our spare room is being turned in to a guest room and due to the state it was in we were unable to tackle it ourselves. It was originally bright green and blue painted stripes with damaged areas, uneven plaster and marks from water damage on the ceiling.I contacted George for a quote, he came and viewed the room the same day, sent us a quote that night and started the work the following week.Very high standard of work and a reasonable price for the amount of work required - preparing/fixing the walls, undercoat on the ceiling and skirting, painting the ceiling, glossing the woodwork, lining the walls and then hanging the final wallpaper, he even fixed some holes in the wooden window ledge we hadn’t noticed.The room looks brilliant now, much bigger, more spacious and looks like new! Couldn’t be any happier with it.He was reliable with great communication keeping me updated, was on time each day, hard working, kept the room clean & tidy and was friendly and easy to have working in the house.We definitely recommend George Coll.

George and his lovely son Jordan came and painted my house over 2 days. The job he did was absolutely brilliant. Can’t praise George enough. Fixed my roof and walls. He is such a nice man and I felt he treated me as a friend and I was completely comfortable with him and Jordan in our home. Don’t hesitate to use him he did a fantastic job,.

George made a fabulous job of my hall and stairs. There was a lot of preparation work which was more difficult due to the height of the walls at the stairs. His attention to detail was second to none.The job was completed in the time he said and we are more than pleased at the result. We will use George again and I would heartily recommend him if anyone is looking for a great, well priced, professional job!
