Couple, 56 years, Germany Someone here has thought and implemented the concept very well: from homemade fresh food to the choice of colors and furnishings of the rooms. The concept is very coherent and convincing. We felt very welcome. The entire house is very tasteful and cozy. A good price-performance ratio.

I ordered 2x sausage and bacon sandwich’s to take away. Got told they were £9.50 a sandwich over the phone to then get charged £10.50 a sandwich when I arrived to pick them up!!. So after being overcharged, I was hoping for the sandwich of a lifetime… I couldn’t have been more wrong… the bacon was like rubber and undercooked, the sausages were cheap and nasty (barely tasted of anything!) too top it off… the bread was cheap sliced bread!!!.. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! It was the most I have ever paid for a bacon and sausage sandwich and by far the WORST Iv ever had!!!WONT BE GOING BACK!!

Awesome beer garden! Clean and tidy with lovely plantings around the fence line. The menu was small but the food we had was excellent (smoked salmon pate starter). The staff were great and there is table service.

Stopped off on the way to Winchester. We received a warm welcome, from the staff. The food was excellent. We a steak and a good pasta. The creme brulee was one of the best we have ever had and the homemade icecream is a must try. The choice of beer was very good.

We had roast, soup, and fish and chips for the kinders. All of it was of high quality. Can recommend as we got a booking on the Sunday morning on the day.

Perfect country pub very close to Winchester in a sweet English village. Wonderful staff who are very attentive, great food and lovely refurbished rooms to stay in with all the amenities needed. Would definitely return to stay over night in one of the rooms. Also a great bonus they are dog friendly!

First visit for a few years stopped on the off chance of a table for Sunday lunch.Was lucky!Great roast beef very well cooked and plenty of it. Only downside were the vegetables were slightly undercooked.Chocolate brownie was excellent but the homemade salted caramel ice cream was very salty!Overall a good experience, note this is a dog friendly pub too!.
