Really nice pub , 4 of us stayed here this weekend the landlord was lovely and helpful . The rooms were clean and beds were comfy . I would stay here again and I would recommend it . The quirky signs and pictures do give you a little giggle .

Been at the Duke of York for two nights Martin the new owner is very welcoming and great with his customers. The hotel rooms are spotless and facilities are great. Pub has an open fire and the customers are friendly it just feels like we have been drinking here for years. We will be back.

Martin and his staff couldn't have done more when we held my brothers wake in the Duke. They were so kind and compassionate and bent over backwards to ensure everything ran smoothly. The catering was excellent and the bar service outstanding. They took great care of not only the close family but everyone who attended. It has become our local now and we couldn't recommend it highly enough. Great surroundings both indoor and out and a super atmosphere. The real fire is a nice touch especially on cold evenings.

We stayed here and it was a fab little place in Stockport. Martin thr manager was extremely helpful and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Really recommend stayinf here if you need a room and a great pint. Dog friendly is a plus too. Thanks Martin and see you again!

Great for what was required! A bit noisy early evening (street front and above lively pub!) but quietened down and had good night sleep!

Love this pub, the staff are so lovely! I pop in here on a regular basis, everyone is so welcoming and the food is spectacular! The fire is always roaring and a great range of drinks, this is my dogs fave spot! He pulls on the lead to go in! They’ve also just added a games console, which is a real laugh!!

Clean rooms with comfy beds and everything you need. Staff are down to earth and helpful. Could have a good chat down in the pub which has good vibes .. thanks for a pleasant stay and we will be sure to book again in the future at them great prices :)
