Our Chow- Simba is well looked after by the amazing team. They genuinely like him and that makes us feel safe and happy.

I’ve stuck with them because they’re nice people and they obviously adore my dog, even though they’ve missed bits twice when giving him his haircut. But they’ve tried to cancel 50% of my appointments in the last year due to staffing shortages, and at this point they obviously can’t offer any kind of reliable service. It’s hard enough trying to get a grooming appointment these days, without it being cancelled at the last minute - leaving me with a dog who needs a haircut in this hot weather, and no appointments anywhere. Grooming is a welfare issue, especially in the summer, and Pets at Home is supposed to be in the business of fulfilling welfare needs. I won’t be trying again, it’s honestly not worth it.

I usually don’t have any problems with the grooms here however, I had my worst experience today. We have been waiting for a groom since December due to the high demand and managed to book an appointment for April (as you can imagine my dogs hair is outgrown and has many knots due to the long wait period)Today I walked into the salon and was told that one of the stylist left and the other was on holiday so the groom could no longer go ahead, I received no communication prior to this so I was left in the blank. I’m annoyed and angry since I’m supposed to leave the country in a week and I won’t be able to find somewhere else. The trainee who was working refused to do anything about this and after a long conversation agreed to at least cutting his nails when I had the appointment booked in which usually takes 1-2 hours max calming that there was no time for anything else. I am disappointed in their service today.Hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else

I really only need them for the frozen rats for my snake, do not buy frozen goods from them, always a massive waste, my snake does not eat it. Pets at home owe me at least 50 pounds in wasted goods. Never buy any frozen items there, you will waste your money also. If I could give zero stars I would

The groomers here are absolutely lovely! I took my nervous dog to have his nails clipped and they were so understanding and gentle with him, I was really anxious as he doesn’t cope well in busy, confined spaces but they really made an effort to make him feel comfortable. They’ve also groomed my other dog a number of times and she always comes out looking and smelling amazing. Great team!

Phoned to make nail trimming appointment. Hot answerphone which directed me to website to book. Left message, no answer after 3 days. Had to go through palaver of registration online, only to be informed that nail trimming can only be booked by phone. Phoned twice more, each time engaged tone then cut me off.When did customer service become so appalling?

Absolutely brilliant! Our Mini Schnauzer was in a bit of a state but she came out a beauty queen. Felt like we'd got our old dog back. Thank you so much lovely ladies.

super friendly and helpful, they really cared for my pup and made sure she was comfortable and I was happy!

Every time I call, they tell me to book online, so I do. I log into the app every day, and there are no appointments available, even for the next two months. So my question is, what's the point of this online booking system if it never works? If you don't want people calling, at least make sure the booking system works.

Fantastic service and a lovely team. Our dog always has a great time here and comes away looking great.
