Optical Express Laser Eye Surgery, Lens Replacement Surgery, & Opticians: Oxford

Oxford is closest to me, the optometrist for my consultation was lovely but they were super pushy to get my surgery booked in without giving me any chance to think about the costs etc beforehand but we’re insistent that they should take the £500 deposit that day. Not doable! Has my surgery in Milton Keynes which was amazing but Oxford failed to send my eye drops prior to surgery with no apology, gave me the wrong paperwork for surgery and consistently has to change appointments and then when you show up even when they’ve just opened they’re already running late…

This is the most welcoming place I have ever been to! Troy took the time to talk me through everything and answered all of my questions very nicely. Laila was so lovely and professional. I left there very reassured about my procedure and will definitely come back!

I had an amazing first contact in Oxford, it was great and made me feel at ease. However getting the surgery done in Reading wasn’t that great. There is a poster saying something like “we have done over 2 millions surgeries, but we won’t forget it’s your first one” Well you should change your staff or remove the posters. Don’t take me wrong. I am happy I have done it. But for something which can be scary and hard for some people to make the move to, at least for me. Your team could be friendly and understanding. Overall, I would go back to Oxford without a doubt but get my eyes done in a different clinic. If it wasn’t for the staff in Oxford, I would just go for a different company.

I had my consultation and follow up appointments for my laser surgery at Optical Express in Oxford and they were amazing. I was given all the information I wanted/needed beforehand and the staff were really friendly in the appointments. When it came to the consultation they were very reassuring given its a one time experience that people will not have gone through before.

I had an initial consultation booked for 4pm. I arrived 4 minutes late and was turned down and asked to rebook. I think this is a bit harsh - pretty sure they would not give me a refund if they were 4 minutes late. Will find another place!

Failed to provide crucial information about the appointment before a laser eye surgery consultation. I arrived there just to be told the appointment could not go ahead. Receptionist seemed sorry but couldn't provide another appointment for a fortnight. Overall cannot recommend and does not inspire confidence.

Had a very good experience at my consultation apppointment, the staff were polite and friendly, the clinic was clean and tidy, the examination was comprehensive and the staff were happy to answer any questions I had. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone.

I received excellent care from my first consultation through to having new lenses fitted in my eyes . All of the stages were explained to me in depth throughout. The operation was carried out in around 15mins and I can say I’ve never put a pair of glasses on my head since . A spec thanks to all staff and to Troy in Oxford and laila who I met in Milton Keynes and also in Oxford . Thanks Nigel

Dodgy, dishonest, incompetent, amateurs - avoidI have never experienced such abysmal customer service

Have been going to this clinic for a number of appointments now following my surgery. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Their receptionist Richard always goes above and beyond wherever possible to get everything perfect, not just for me but for every patient I see him interact with.Can not recommend this clinic enough. Would give 6 stars if able!
