Great service! After ordering my timber I was very disappointed that it would not arrive when I expected (confusion over shipping and delivery times). However, Gemma in sales was really helpful. She ensured my timber was delivered asap and always kept me informed of progress. The timber was of high quality and the delivery driver worked wonders to get it offloaded as far up my drive as possible. Every company has problems, it's what they do to find solutions that really counts. From my experience, I would highly recommend The Launceston Timber Company. I would just recommend confirming delivery times before placing your order.

Can’t recommend highly enough. From enquiry to delivery. The Launceston Timber Co certainly know wood. Used LTC a number of times for bespoke Oak Furniture throughout the house, and a complete refresh of all internal doors. Communication is always good and pleased with the end result everytime.

This place has gone above and beyond to cater to my needs! Thank you for everything, the timber is perfect! The guys work hard and deliver every time. I don’t know what the previous review is about, probably someone trying to tear a new business down, but these guys were fast and provided my timber well within the time frame.

Unable to fulfil a simple order.Poor communication.Long lead times.Ended up cancelling the order and going with Leedstown Timber, which was delivered within 2 days.We're still waiting on the refund from this company over a week later.Appalling service.

Needed a side gate and while there are plenty of options here in Reading, a friend in Tavistock suggested the Launceston Timber Co. And I am very happy to have chosen them. The website is well done and getting a very kind and lovely girl on the phone was simple. She took the time to listen to what I was looking for and even gave some great suggestions, I believe her name was Gemma? Don't quote me in my old age. Well the gate arrived and it is grand, simple but stands out well. The oak is solid and I know it'll outlast me, the hardware is nothing to write home about but it'll do all the same. They even offer an install option but I had a few local lads help put it up and it was very simple. This is one lumber mill that treats it's customers as customers. Before you go anywhere else make sure to give them a call.

DREADFUL EXPERIENCE with this company. Contracted to manufacture front door with side panels and garage doors. Paid deposit and then a huge amount of money to go into production.Then Marc stopped returning my calls. Then deceipt and ineptitude. No doors were made and they would not return my money. Now having to take them to court. Their failure to deliver had huge impact on other areas of the building project . BUYER BEWARE.

We bought and just had installed a 6m x 3.6m oak framed gazebo and we are so pleased with the quality and service. Marc was extremely helpful throughout guiding us on the right choices for us through to being on site with Dave and Simon erecting it this weekend. I would happily recommend them to anyone interested in buying an oak framed building at a fair price.Thanks Marc, Dave and Simon you worked so hard and were a pleasure to host. We look forward to enjoying the gazebo for many years.

I can only guess that the other negative review is either a troll or someone with a toxic vendetta, as my, recent, experience with TheLTC was superb throughout. Marc and his crew did exactly what the said they would do, always honouring their word and grafted for 12 hours straight to install our wonderful oak gazebo with cedar roof. They earn their crust, after a 4-5 hour journey from Cornwall to Hampshire late in the evening before, they then had the same journey back after putting in the 12 hour shift, in the sweltering heat - real commitment. Marc was perfectly reasonable with the deposit and did not ask for the remainder until completion but ultimately, all you need to know is that TheLTC turn out first-class work (200mm oak post, mortise & tenon joinery) that could grace any garden in the land and, to my experience, are real grafters and passionate artisans, so, unlike the troll, I would heartily recommend them if your investing in transforming your garden.
