Great place to walk, think, reflect, with beautiful views of the Thames Valley. Ideal for families and dog-walkers.

A pair of Iron Age forts on two hilltops with a commanding 360 view of the Oxfordshire countryside. There is a free car park and a picnic bench. Up on the hills there are benches to sit on and a few stone monuments to people and art works. Popular spot for dog walkers, picnics and kite flying.

Great for running and walking if you like hills and lots of benches for sitting down and soaking up the views at the top when you realise your legs are not as young as they used to be.

Great place for a walk. Plenty of trails round and through the clumps. We walked down to Day's Lock then back to the clumps. Free car park but be aware there's no toilets or cafe. A farm cafe is advertised near the lock but we didn't venture there. Amazing views and we could see a water tower 18km away today!

I live just 10mins from here and it’s my favourite place in Oxfordshire. Love this part of the countryside, the views are so amazing, I’ve been over a hundred times and I never get bored of it. It’s different everytime I go and I just love seeing the transition throughout the seasons too. It’s perfect for dog walking or if you just want to clear your mind, and it’s never crowded which makes it special and underrated. Any day of the week is perfect. Love coming to see the sunset too.

Fantastic place to walk the dog. The 2 clumps give panoramic, 360° views across the surrounding rolling countryside on a clear day, (on a windy day, there's no shelter from the wind around the clumps so wear heavy boots, you can drop down into the protection of the woods within 5 minutes of the carpark if shelter is required). Numerous walking routes allowing several visits without repeating the same routes.

One of my favourite places. Beautiful views of the surrounding areas for the top. Take a walk though Wittenham Forest at the bottom. You may see a deer, if you're lucky amongst the trees. A lovely place to meditate. Lots of Celtic and Roman history there. Read up before going.

It is unacceptable that a public place where people have breakfast in the council does not put at least one bin so that people do not spread their garbage in nature. This is what happens when the council in charge of this area does not put a garbage container

My family and I went to watch the sunset, such a great spot to enjoy the sun going down. There was plenty of space in the car park, but this was evening time, so I can imagine it being very busy in the summer or weekends.
