The Launderette

Went here to dry a blanket that was soaking and couldn’t fit in the tumble dryer at home. Get there, pay for our time, put blanket in to dry and left it there whilst we ran some other errands. Made sure to get back in time before closing. Our dryer time ended at 9:40pm, and we were there at 9:45pm, 15 minutes before the supposed closing time. As online, and at the store, it states the closing time is 10pm, and there is no signs outside the store stating that it is closing earlier due to COVID. Well, we arrived to find the shop shut, and the barrier down. We had to leave our stuff inside and we are now going to have to collect the following day (if it is still there!). What makes it worse is there is no number to call - tried the security company and they didn’t pick up either!

Awful service. Machines take money and don't run a full cycle, clothes soaking wet. Doesn't open on time

Should have read the reviews, machine didn't work left my sleeping bag soaking and not washed no contact number the place is a safety concern. Will report to Plymouth Council.Soaking wet floor complete health hazard.

Closed an hour early, locking our clothes in there that we've washed to take on holiday.I know we've left it late, but I'm now relying on someone to take my clothes out tomorrow.No contact available for staff to open shutter. It closed at 9pm and was meant ro be open until 10.Joke

The place was clean, instructions clear and machine worked fine. I can imagine the having no contact number for if anything goes wrong being very problematic but other than that the experience was a positive one. Clothes dried lovely.

Clean and tidy remote run launderette.Disabled accessParking outside the launderette and near to bus stopsEquipment fairly new and in great working order.Washers easy to use and take £2, £1 and 50p (may also take 20p & 10p although i didn't use them)Timer on washer so you know how long it is going to take.Clothing was properly washed and I was happy with it.Pleasantly surprised by the spin speed of washer as clothes well spun.Down side was machines signage says token use which was confusing as they took cash. (Friendly sign would help with this issue)It was rather cold inside however I think this maybe a covid health and safety requirement.I used this due to my washer being broken and will definitely use again should need arise.

If I cold give a rating of no stars I would.Awful laundrette, no one attends this laundrette meaning no machines are ever cleaned. Ive been here multiply times where I have paid for a wash or paid for drying either the tumble dryers havnt dried the clothes due to the filter not being changed or the washing have broken down With error codes showing.I’ve never cared I’ve always just used a different machine and took a lost on my money.What got me was one day last week I put a wash on and returned to get my washing to find they had locked the shop not only did they lock the shop when this laundrette never normally gets locked due to no one ever attending this place I returned in the morni before work as my work clothes was in the washig machine door was still locked I return later that day around 3pm to find the shop was open along with all my washing spread across the floor.I left a note for the owners after asking neighbours and asking in the take away and the co op to see if any one knew who owned this laundrette didn’t get me anywhere. So I left a polite note on the door asking for the owner to contact me to explain why my work clothes was locked in the laundrette over night and then for myself to return the following day to find all my clothes spread across thee dirty floor. Yes ok I had to wash these clothes already again after sitting in the washing machine all night but for me to come back to the clothes all over the floor another matter. I have eventually returned bk to this laundrette after no contact from anyone to find my note has been removed and no message or call from the owner.No details of this laundrette anywhere no details on Facebook no details on google no details even on company house (makes me think if this owner is even paying taxes and if this place is even run probably with the washing machines being contacted to the boiler for hot water )I have reported this laundrette, and currently speaking with citizens advice and PCC.

Rip off won't use again didn't do full wash my uswd machine 2 on premium wash plus £5 wasted my unstoppables where still in 1 piece no no big bins u can't even fit a fairy box in it it's that small will not use again and there is no contact number to call either and no products to clean mess up with
