Visited to sort out an account and also to check if a text message that had been sent to my phone was valid or a possible scam. All dealt with very quickly.

Andrea on front desk completely unhelpful, confrontational, condescending and painful to talk to. Has apparently worked there a long time but evidently needs entry-level customer service training. Scott on the other hand was very helpful, but even simple tasks like handing in a mandate change form take an inordinate amount of time.

Barclays have financed more fossil fuel projects than any of the UK’s largest banks. This is despite warnings from climate scientists that we need to reduce fossil fuel use immediately to avoid catastrophic climate change. 20 million at risk of starving in Africa due to drought, India closing its wheat exports due to failed harvests, Northern Italy’s drought that threatens its food production- all a taste of what is coming in the next 20 years . Thanks Barclays.

Recently opened a Barclays account after a recommendation from a friend. I love it! The app is so user friendly, efficient and clear. I decided to switch from my old account however had to stop it mid switch. I popped into the Exeter branch to see if they could help, the man on the front desk wasn’t the most helpful however staff member Elaine overheard my struggle and offered to help. She sat us down and tried to cancel the switch. It was too late however Elaine managed to email someone who cancelled my switch the next day! Even though I had pass the switch cancellation period. Elaine was so helpful and an absolute life saver:)) great experience in my first week with Barclays

Absolutely horrible customer service. The lady was rude to my disabled parents she was less than useless provided 0 help for them. (Her name was Andrea) kept telling us the date in which things we're enforced which is absolutely useless to us. Kept talking over my mum If I could give 0 stars I would

Staff are perfectly nice and try to help but that doesn't make a difference when the banks policy is to take advantage where possible.I opened a business account which became inactive due to covid. I was told I wouldn't be charged on the account during this time but they resumed charging the account without notifying me. I was told I could request the money back but there was no guarantee and they would charge me again in the meantime while I waited for a response. Decided it wasn't worth it and closed the account. The website is also very slow and clunky and they made it very difficult to check exactly how much money they had taken. Not a great experience overall, definitely will not be using them again for business or personal banking

The lady who helps me open my account today is really nice, I though I have to make another appointment to open my account because I arrived around 15:30. I am not sure if her name is Anna or not, but anyway she is really nice and super helpful! Thank you for the service :)

People that work in banks have the mentality of civil servants. They have no concept of customer service and see interacting with the public as a major inconvenience. Effectively there is no choice in banking, so they can get away with treating us with barely hidden disdain. The new jobsworths. This bank is the perfect example.
