Tried the new Sweet N Sour and the Delivery came really quickly, (about 20 mins) but when it came we were very disappointed. The food was bland, salt and pepper chips might as well have just been chips, I had noodles which smelled burned but they weren't, again very bland and tasteless, OH had OK chicken and he didn't rate it either again very bland and tasteless. Kids chicken nuggets were alright (you can't really mess them up!) but the kids sausage very overdone to the point it had a crust. Always worth trying new places but think we'll be sticking to The Village from now on.

This is our favourite Chinese takeaway!4th time ordering from here tonight, again it didn’t disappoint!!! I rang up at one point to see how long the delivery would be, where I was met by such a sweet lady. She even called the delivery driver to check :). So glad I found this little goldmine.Fantastic food and fantastic staff :)Thanks for the free prawn crackers :)

It was the tastiest chinese I’ve ever had, I’m really picky but this has totally blown me away.The chips were cooked to perfection,the staff were lovely, the food was delicious and perfect, prices reasonable and I will definitely will be coming back very soon. I wish I could have this every day. I’ve tried lots of authentic Chinese dishes but this one is by no competition the best.

Sweet 'N' Sour Chinese takeaway
The Far East takeaway is one of the best and oldest takeaways in Newton. The staff inside know people by name and will happily engage in conversation.The food is fantastic and it's a treat to buy, we've been coming here for decades and nowhere else locally compares to them.They are not however on Just Eat (but do deliver) so it's best getting a menu from then as you pass and keeping it safe.

This is the reason God invented garbage bags. Soup - no salt, pepper, garlic or actually anything in it, (it was supposed to be spicy") but was just some veggie leftovers with one lonely shrimp in it. My main I didn't even touch
