MKM Building Supplies Dundee

Having come north of the border from deepest darkest Devon to renovate my deceased fathers cottage which had been wrecked, I needed a supplier who was competitive, prompt and good quality. I did a small test of a few suppliers based on price for a fairly standard item, and although it wasn't much cheaper, MKM had a good selection of everything I'd need for the life cycle of the project. Nick Scott (MKM Business Development Manager) has gone above and beyond what you would usually expect from a supplier of their size. They have the capacity of most of the big shed companies whilst retaining the personal touch you get with smaller bespoke suppliers. Nick and his knowledge of building codes and practices in Scotland has enabled me to get this project (almost) across the line whilst being somewhere around the anticipated budget. MKMBS Dundee have supplied around 90% of the materials required for the renovation, and as a first time client of theirs, I have also managed to benefit from trade discounts that the likes of Jewson or TP would require you to be doing big business all the time to benefit from. All this is achieved by them whilst still being a privately owned merchants. Kudos to them for being able to stick one up to the big boys like TP. The only shame is that they don't have branches on the south coast of England for when this job is done.

They obviously don't need new customers anyway. We went in to get a quote for 2 windows and a bi- fold door. While in we noticed they did bathrooms and asked if the lady could give us a call to arrange an appointment. We are renovating our forever home and have 2 shower rooms to be designed plus a family bathroom & an en-suite to be created & designed. Why bother taking the details ....still waiting over 3 months later! Nevermind, got fed up waiting & went elsewhere. Must be nice to not need the custom in these uncertain times.

Great service from the staff. Explained what I was looking for and the assistant understood, explained options and worked out the cuts. Will definitely use again.

Went to check on bathroom supplies. Had wonderful help from the staff. In particular it was Ross who dealt with our enquiries. I was impressed with his listening to my particular needs then giving good advice with solutions and ex[laining in simple terms (for me) what the consequences of the choices would be. It made our decisions easier to make plus he is going further by emailing details of some suggestions and even going as far as delivering a part to me to ensure it is suitable for my particular needs. So, all in all, a wonderful and reassuring service. Thank you MKM which I assume is someone or some persons initials,.

Used MKM Dundee a few times now , and can’t fault their prices or customer service, would highly recommend them for any of your trade needs

I was recommended this place by a friend and in my opinion they deserve more than 5 stars. The guys who we met went above and beyond and were extremely helpful. Never have I received such great customer service. The guys working there are a credit to the company and should be very proud of themselves. Thanks very much, we will most definitely be back.
