Didn’t stay there just stopped for dinner on our trip up from South Uist. Beautiful views and lovely dining room. Haddock and chips were the best I’ve had in years. Very crisp, tasty and chips were great too. Loved their tartar sauce also. Nice service and clean environment. Would definitely recommend and will go back next time I’m on the islands.

Went to the Lochmaddy Hotel for an evening meal. Lovely setting, food, varied and delicious and the deserts were sumptuous.Polite and attentive service.

Called in on the off chance they were dog friendly, and had a lovely lunch with yummy cakes. Very dog friendly, clean and welcoming.

The barman will just tell you (probably within 2 minutes of your arrival!) that he makes the best coffee in the islands, if not the world! His layered latte is a performance!Best in the Outer Hebrides? Certainly very much up there. Also gorgeous berry tart to go with it.

Went here for dinner and it was amazing everything tasted good place was lovely, but the staff on the other hand were nothing but rude we sat for half an hour waiting for our table to be cleared n the staff just kept walking by n looking and ignoring us while clearing tables that were served well after us n the way some of the staff look at us was horrible

We dined here on two evenings good choice of fresh produce and good choice of pizzas too if you areva pizza fan. Clean, friendly, lovely views over Loch Maddy Bay.

We stopped for a coffee and a bite to eat. We both had lattes, although my soya milk latte was hot, and my husband's was lukewarm.I opted for a sweet potato and paprika soup, and hubby had a chicken burger.The soup was well watered down and lacked body. The size of the bowl was good, just the soup that let it down. Hubby's burger, he said, was dry, but the handcut chips were lovely.The server was good, and I feel the kitchen let her down at £29.00 it wasn't cheap, and £6.00 was just the soup. Nice cakes on display, but no vegan options just gluten-free.

I don't remember the gentleman's name, but when we arrived later in the evening he was working reception and waiting tables. This man was working hard with a smile on his face and had a fantastic attitude, and was still able to chat with us as we ordered our food and make recommendations on sites to see.Food was fantastic. Our room was clean and well stocked. It's an older hotel that maintains its historic charm while having modern amenities.
