To think this used to be the old Candy factory ... and now it's a massive gym!It's currently 19.99 per month, and for what you get - it's definitely worth the money.It's got loads of brand new equipment (including the Eleiko weightlifting stuff). I 'm pretty sure you won't be waiting for any of the equipment. If you like fitness classes, they have two studios (main studio and spin studio).The staff are great too, really friendly bunch, particularly Charlie and Dawn.The only downside is that they're currently building a new car park because the current one can fill up pretty fast. But other than that, definitely worth joining.

Great gym, good classes. Changing rooms and showers are good as well. However, why is there a female cleaner in the male changing rooms? Regardless of times, the changing rooms are open and people get dried out the showers. This isn't acceptable. No consideration for a males privacy or anything, I highly doubt JD Gym would ever consider letting a male cleaner into the female changing rooms due to the uproar it would cause... but no, it's ok for men to have this awkward situation.

£19.99 a month! Large well equipped gym. Plenty of machines and weights. Staff are helpful and friendly. Decent sized changing room with showers.

Full of thieves!Left my hoodie (beige adidas hoodie with white stripes down the sleeves and across the hood) hanging up on the peg in the changing rooms for one minute while I went to the toilet. When I came back, some dirty tiprat had robbed it.Keep an eye on your belongings, and if you see anybody wearing that hoodie who isn't a short middle aged man with a shaved head and grey beard, you know that they've robbed it and who they robbed it from

Great gym with million of equipment, great staff and plenty of space for everyone.Especially for new beginnings and occasional gym peoples.Even on the busiest times does not feel crowded be because of the size of the gym.

Always clean and plenty of equipment. (May have to wait at busier times) Changing rooms immaculate. Staff helpful and friendly

I’ve been coming here since day one. The team is great and the atmosphere makes it the best gym on the Wirral. It’s always clean and the cleaners are lovely. Special mention to Shirley who always has time for a chat!

Large busy mainly weight lifting gym. Good gym overall with a good amount of Bench's and squat racks.Limited leg machines with only 2 leg press machines as an example compared to 12 squat racks and 25+ Bench's.PT turnover is high and if you go at school closing time there will be groups of 5/6 teenage lads/girls chatting near machines.Overall w decent gym for the price especially if your not going 4-5.30pm.
