Disappointing experience. Was expecting better.Miles, was pleasant to deal with and I think he knows his trade. However, he did not work on site himself and the eastern European workmen he used did not speak English very well. The patio was laid well enough although some tiles are already loose and the work was done only a few months ago. The pointing between the tiles has just been poured with loose sand which has already come out with the rain and I clearly remember him advising proper jointing compound would be used.The turf has also not been laid correctly. It has not been compacted into the ground so it is now “higgeldy piggledy” and ankles get twisted when walking on it. The seams of the turf have come apart as no effort was made to join them. I asked for new soil/horse manure in the garden borders as the old one was not of a good quality. It was left in piles which I then had to get removed before digging out the old soil, and then dig in the soil they provided. Have now had to dig out the soil they provided as it was barren. Nothing was growing in it. Again, had to pay another workmen to sort this out.I contacted Miles regarding these issues and as expected, he`s advised he`s not available for the next 4 months. Apparently in Canada! Which I somehow doubt.
