Brysons Animal Shelter

Animal rescue centres are always an emotive subject but I would say Brysons has been wonderful. They are always careful to vet the owners to make sure they know what they are taking on. For a private charity they do wonders all the staff are friendly and caring.

I'm hoping to come visit I'd like to rehome a animal and give it a place to stay am hoping to adopt so we can support each other I'm after a support dog but I think the best thing would be rehousing one I have autism and I suffer from emotional distress so I think if me and a dog have been through a similar background I'd be a good match they'd be loved forever

We recently had to say goodbye to our last cat fluffy, at the ripe old age of 22. We rang round a few rescue centres and most of them wanted online applications only. We believe that the animal chooses you not the other way around. We were invited to go and meet the cats. We met a lovely pair of brothers and we all fell in love straight away. Sadly our son wasn't with us so we had to arrange to bring him back the next day to meet the cats (needless to say he was as smitten as us). We brought the 2 cats home that day. We found the staff although very very busy they had the animals interests at heart. We now have 2 amazing additions to our family and and our house feels like a home again. We were asked to keep them updated on how the cats get on. Which we have and will continue to do. I can't thank them enough for the help they gave us in finding these two little characters

In 2023 so far (5th November) they’ve rehomed nearly 300 cats and dogs. How amazing! First Sunday of the month at noon (except January) is a yard sale to raise funds. Cash - loose change is all you need to help them on there way. All the baked goods went before I saw them! They must be excellent and found in the main building past the visitor centre as far as you can go!

Staff very enthusiastic and have the animals first. We got a bed for the dog and it was new and a bargain. Try and vist and any thing you buy goes to help the animalsThe have got a variety of tings to buy which have been donated.

It’s down a narrow lane so don’t be tempted to take your car along it! Basic set up but this is a Sheltef - friendly, helpful and caring staff and volunteers

Went to have a look for a pet carrier. I didn't see the animals as I only went for the carrier. I managed to buy 4 and a few extra bits. Friendly staff and looked nice and clean. Staff where cleaning outside kennels went I went it. To look at, the staff seemed very busy but happy, not grumpy and charging around. Everyone seemed to know what they were doing and going but me ha but the staff directed me and were friendly. Win Win.Wish I had more space to take in more animals but I don't unfortunately.

Lovely friendly people who do everything they can to ensure successful adoptions. The animals appear well cared for and it's in a good location with plenty of places to walk the dogs.

Brysons has been around a very long time.They do an excellent job of rehoming animals.
