Stoney Cottage

Had an amazing 4 night stay at Stoney Cottage. Accommodation was excellent, and centrally located for all areas of the island. Willie and Christine were so welcoming. Their knowledge of things to see and do was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back for another amazing breakfast......x

Just arrived home after an awesome stay with Willie and Christine at Stoney Cottage.Our room was large, very well decorated and you immediately felt welcome. Our hosts were very attentive and could not do enough for us.We were provided with unlimited information on where to go on the Island and this proved invaluable on our travels round Skye.If you want a break on Skye then i would recommend Stoney Cottage.We will be back very soon.Arlene & Paul

The Hosts must be the most kind and caring People in the whole world. Never felt more welcome in a place than at Stoney Cottage.The room is lovely decorated and spacious. They serve a delicious breakfast and even got some vegan options for us! After breakfast they came and gave us great tipps to explore the amazing Isle of Skye.On the second evening they even invited us for some drinks and we had a wonderful chat.We can't think of a better place to stay, so make sure to book a room at Stoney Cottage!

We had such a fantastic time at Stoney Cottage and cannot recommend it highly enough as a base on Skye. Willie and Christine are such warm and friendly hosts and really made our stay special, we left having made lovely new friends. The house is lovely, the room was great- really comfortable and spotless. The house is in a pretty and quiet location conveniently just outside Portree surrounded by fields full of sheep and lambs. Willie and Christine gave us great recommendations on places to visit and things to see right down to places for a coffee or meal. On top of all this breakfast was to die for! Do yourself a favour and stay at Stoney Cottage, I will most definitely be back!:-)

I stayed at Stoney cottage for 4 nights in July 2021 and can't begin to describe how amazing it was. Set in a location which is always stunning regardless of the weather. Willie and Christine are unbelievable hosts and their hospitality and knowledge of the area really made the trip with them regularly exceeding my expectations of what would be expected from a B&B. The rooms are spacious, gleaming but with a real authentic feel. I honestly can't thank the owners enough for a fantastic holiday after what had been a really difficult 18 months.

We stayed at the Stoney Cottage over Easter weekend. Willie and Christine were amazing! Upon our arrival they were extremely welcoming, giving us a tour around the house and providing a quick rundown of the local areas. On the first evening, as I was enjoying a dram of the locals finest. Willie joined me as my wife and I watched the sunset over the hills of Skye, while my children ran around the yard and moo’d at the cows and baa’d at the sheep. Every morning breakfast was made to order and every bite was delicious. We planned our days with expert advice from Willie and Christine and set out to explore Skye. Willie was great with the kids asking for a recap of the previous day and telling them how lucky and special their experiences were to Scotland.This B & B gave us everything we could have asked for; the room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we could have needed. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Skye as it was perfectly suited to see all the sights. We spent 4 nights at Stoney Cottage and each day travelled in a different cardinal direction and never drove more than an hour to get to our furthest destination (Neice Point).Overall, if we come back to Skye we will definitely be staying with Willie and Christine. I’ve already told all my friends about our wonderful stay and the two great people we met at Stoney Cottage.

To say our stay at Stoney Cottage was excellent would be an understatement. Our hosts, William and Christine, were even more gracious and helpful than we could imagine. From the communication and helpful suggestions and recommendations on where to dine and visit - even before stepping foot on the Isle of Skye - to their daily recommendations of hidden gems throughout the Isle of Skye, William and Christine were more than willing to ensure our vacation was truly memorable. They are amazing hosts who welcomed my wife, 4 year old and me with open arms. We felt like we were staying with family. Their breakfast offerings were fantastic and prepared with love. The home was absolutely spotless, and the accommodations were very spacious. I highly recommend their B&B, and will make it a point to stay there again the next time we are in the Isle of Skye.

We broke down just outside Willie and Christine’s property.Willie immediately came out to chat to us. They were both so very kind in putting us in touch with a local garage, inviting us in for a beer and driving us to a nearby hotel. Whilst we can’t comment on the accommodation you can’t have nicer hosts. They were so friendly and helpful that I have no doubt you would have an excellent stay at their B&B.
