Great hotel in a great location. The staff were attentive and efficient, the room was clean, well stocked in respect of towels and refreshments etc and had everything available. Could not have asked for more. Check in was quick and within minutes I had the room key. Similarly check out was quick and painless. I would highly recommend this hotel.

In a good central location (although not great if you have a car you want to park overnight), this ibis was surprisingly quiet. I got a good night's sleep and a decent breakfast. The channels on my TV were rather limited - no BBC 1 for example!Room was clean but a bit tired.

I originally booked 14 days from 2 Nov to 16 Nov. On 14 Nov afternoon, I approached your female counter staff asking for extension of 2 days to 18 Nov. She told me that there was no problem as room is available. She also asked me whether I would stay in the same room (Rm 307). I said it was OK and wished to pay by credit card. But she said payment should be made on 16 Nov because room card 307 would be reactivated on that day. I presume reservation had been made without demanding a confirmation note for my reservation. Two days later, I realized that it was my big mistake to trust your staff. Unfortunately, there was no room on 16 Nov. I was let down by your staff. I had to move out in a chill and rainy morning. It is a very bad experience that I would never forget. Your hotel reputation had been tarnished and I would not consider your hotel in future.

Stayed here for the 1st time.Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.Room was spotless, and a good size. Bed was comfortable, could stream from my tablet to TV, and the shower was great. Very quiet, no noise from other rooms.Location was ideal, just a couple of minutes walk from the shops and the train station.Will definitely stay again.

Check-in was polite and efficient. Most of the customer facing staff were European which I like and appreciate. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The lounge was colourful and interesting. The prices are very competitive compared with the other hotels in the area. I will be returning. I just have to save up some money.

We were mostly content with our stay at Ibis Reading Centre. The location is very central, the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower good. The only thing we were not satisfied with was that the TV turned on automatically at 4 am every morning. We turned the alarm off on the TV controller and told the front desk more than once, but the issue was never resolved. Ghost in the machine?

I have not been to one of these for years and I have to say well worth the money.Let’s start off with checking in then, pleasant female staff members who were kind attentive and very good customer service.Went to the room and it was adequate size comforting and the shower was so powerful I felt so clean afterwards. Good choice in spray soaps and shampoo and plenty of towels. One bug bear that I took one star off was nothing was plugged in and my morning coffee didn’t have the best coffee. I should have gone for the tea as there was good quality choice.The pizzas all though lacking in toppings were good and baked to perfection. Reasonable price for coffee and drinks.Location is Central Reading and ideal for a night out.Checking out was easy, didn’t get the breakfast so can’t comment. A pleasant stay !!!

Convenient location, quiet room, clean facilities, comfortable bed. All count for little when the shower runs cold in the morning. And yes, I did put it to maximum heat and ran it for five minutes … still cold.

Stopped over for a night whilst visiting Reading for work. Seemed very small from the outside but open entering it was surprisingly spacious with some nice interior decorations. The staff were very helpful, accommodating and happy to have a chat. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was very pleasant with a decent size shower that was good quality. Overall there were no disruptions and no faults with my stay here and I would happily visit again.

I booked for yesterday, for only a Saturday stay. Even though I was given a quiet floor. The people upstairs were drunk, noisy and rowdy all day and night. it was absolute chaos. The guests were so rude, selfish and disrespectful. My entire stay was ruined. It was awful and very bad. I did not get a good night's sleep. I had the worst stay at Ibis reading. If you want a quiet and relaxing stay, don't book this hotel. I'm never coming back to this rubbish hotel again.
