Jane and her dog Blue are wonderful hosts! Kiltyrie was probably our favorite B&B during our 10-day trip through Scotland. Jane was a wonderful host, and despite us showing up 2 hrs late our first night, she was gracious in receiving us and getting us settled in.The queen-bed ensuite room was lovely with views overlooking Loch Tay out front. It's very much an old-fashioned farm house, but very nicely remodeled on the inside, and the added-on all-glassed-in breakfast nook absolutely makes breakfast time, as it's truly a lovely space.Jane was very helpful for walks in the area, and Blue was a well-behaved Labrador. Jane runs a well-kept home, with beautiful gardens in the back, as well as pathways that go 50-100 yards up the gentle slope/hill behind her home. Plus, the chickens are fun to watch on rainy mornings!Breakfast was probably our favorite during our entire time there. We had fresh plums from her garden every morning, fresh home-made bread, the thickest, tastiest cut of bacon in all of our time there, and freshly made jams and fruit dishes to go with our home-made hardy granola and yogurt. Thanks again Jane!

This is the 2nd time visiting Anne and Alan in thier lovely holiday cottage. The holiday cottage sits nestled on the side of Loch Tay, just below Ben Lawers, with fabulous evening views over the Loch. Its placed about a 4 or 5 minute drive from Killin where there's a Co-Op and plenty of places to eat and drink. Also worth noting is a couple of campsites and lodges off the road where you can have something to eat and drink and they're only a minutes drive away. The cottage itself is self sufficient, with a massive super king sized bed and two single beds. The kitchen has everything you would want and there's even a washing machine and dryer. The living room has a TV but to be honest you won't be watching it because in front of the majestic view out to the Loch is 2 French doors and in the middle a log burner. Once the kids were in bed, I found myself just sat on the couch, reading a book and taking in the view. The only slight minor negative is the spiral staircase which has a stair lift and takes quite a bit of room up. You just have to make sure kids are careful when walking down thats all. It's a place I think we'll always come back to as the kids grow older.
