Fabulous staff, amazing food, stellar atmosphere!We booked NORD for my fiancée's birthday last night, we went in with little expectations and were blown away.We had oysters, beef tartare and crab to start and the porterhouse for mains, everything was cooked to perfection.The highlight of our evening were the staff, the manager (I forgot his name) introduced us to the restaurant and explained the menu spectacularly, and our fabulous waiter jay, he stayed professional whilst having some great conversations and always there for any need we had. We never at any point felt like we were pushed from the table and actually stayed there for a few hours soaking the atmosphere.The team is so great and makes this place what it is, kudos to the hiring manager! I just hope more people discover this gem!

What a VIBE! We enjoyed the lunch menu so so much that we had three courses. Highlights were the Scotch Egg, Asparagus, and Cod Kiev. But all of it was epic.

I had been to Nord once previously and it was so good that I was skeptical about going back, in case it didn't live up to the first time! I saw the Sunday dinner advertised and booked a table. Phewey....it DID live up to the first time! I had the prawn tempura taco which was a perfect neat-sized flavour punch of a starter, then pork neck which was 3 slices of delicious tender pork meat with all the Sunday dinner trimmings done to absolute perfection. It was the first Sunday dinner service they had done, so the staff were keen to get constructive feedback, but I really couldn't find any way that it could be improved. Everything about this place is an absolute winner, plus the staff are lovely and all genuinely care that you are enjoying your time there. I live in Newcastle but will be back whenever I can and will recommend to anyone visiting. Keep up the good work guys x

I'd been desperate to try NORD since it opened and thought it would be perfect for my birthday meal. However, I'm really sad to say the food was underwhelming and some dishes were close to inedible with the amount of coarse seasalt added (and I say this as someone who has an unhealthy obsession with salt...)The truffle & kelp butter flatbread would have been lovely if it was considerably less salty, and the same goes for the burrata. Unfortunately the intense bursts of salt in every mouthful ruined what should have been fresh, flavourful dishes. While beautiful, my husband couldn't eat the chicken liver parfait - too much going on, mushy texture and couldn't really taste any of the ingredients apparently. The cod kiev was good and thankfully seasoned well, and we enjoyed the tartare sauce. The baked alaska for dessert would have been good if the brownie base wasn't rock hard - we persevered but left most of it to save bending NORD's nice cutlery... (we did mention the very hard brownie to our waiter who apologised but it really wasn't a great way to finish the meal).Maybe it was just the wrong day to go, and I really do hope we were just unlucky as I'd heard great things but based on this experience I wouldn't rush back or recommend. The service was good and attentive, it was just sadly let down by the food. For the price range, we really expected more.

Amazing meal. The setting, decor ambience, food, service were all incredible. We’re very lucky to have such a restaurant in Liverpool; I can’t recommend it enough.

The restaurant decor is STUNNING.Food is delicious & the cocktails are amazing.If you are the type of person who orders a burger and chips wherever you go this isn’t for you. The menu is unique and some of it is acquired taste but amazing non the less.the beef cheek flatbread to start was Rich in flavour and the light and fluffy focaccia was so good.For mains I had the Cod fishcake with roasted potato’s and tender stem broccoli. The home made tartar sauce was a nice addition.For the dessert I had the baked Alaska and WOW! If you are a dessert person I highly recommend this, you can 100% share this too as it’s very rich and quiet big.Will be planning to come back again soon as there was other bits I really want to try.

A fantastic dining experience. Inspired and really tasty dishes arrived one after the other, complemented by a great wine list including a great English wine offering from Henners vineyard. The most sumptuous crème brulee we've ever had. Will be back in a flash. This is a must for any foodie.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nord restaurant, on Old Hall Street, Liverpool and I must say, it was an absolutely fabulous and engaging experience. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by a friendly gentleman at the entrance, setting the tone for the evening.Our server, the lovely Charlotte, provided us with impeccable service throughout the evening. She guided us through the menu with kindness and expertise, ensuring we made the best choices for our tastes. Her attentiveness and timely check-ins added to the overall enjoyable experience.The kitchen at Nord restaurant truly exceeded all expectations. The attention to detail and the sourcing of high-quality ingredients from their suppliers were evident in every bite. The freshness of the food was palpable from the very first taste, elevating the flavors to new heights. It's clear that Nord takes pride in their culinary offerings and strives for excellence in every dish.One standout dish I had the pleasure of enjoying was the Roasted Monkfish with celeriac purée and caper brown butter. The combination of flavors was simply exquisite. The monkfish was perfectly cooked, tender, and paired beautifully with the creamy celeriac purée. The Roasted Jersey Royals with café de Paris butter on the side added an extra layer of indulgence to the meal. I was delighted to hear that Charlotte agreed with my choice as the perfect pairing.Beyond the outstanding food and service, the venue itself was a sight to behold. The interior design struck the perfect balance between being spectacular and not overly pretentious. The ambiance created a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere, enhancing the overall dining experience.In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Nord restaurant to anyone seeking a dining experience of the highest quality. From the warm greeting at the entrance to the attentive service of Charlotte and the culinary masterpieces crafted by Daniel Heffy and his talented kitchen, every aspect of our visit was second to none. The freshness and exquisite flavors of the food, coupled with the impressive venue design, create a memorable and enjoyable experience. Nord restaurant truly deserves accolades for their commitment to excellence.

We had a wonderful evening at Nord. The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant is well laid out and such a nice touch with the DJ playing some decent tunes.The food was so fresh and the oysters were delicious. Our starters, the Cornish crab and the charred beetroot were wonderful.Main was the amazing Porterhouse to share with some sides. All cooked to perfection.We are looking forward to retuning soon to sample the rest of the menu. Top marks to the team.

Food was great though i would say some of the dishes were either warm rather than hot or undercookedStaff had a meeting while we were seated which felt a bit odd. Especially as we were the only table in at the time.Great setting/design. Great wineWould like to visit again when the menu changes and it's a bit busier.
