I visited Ripon rugby club as a referee so my experience is slightly different to what a visitors may be.That said it is a welcoming club, good bar staff and good atmosphere for watching rugby. A decent selection of beers and in a good setting.If you are in Ripon or visiting on the weekend it would be worth visiting to watch a game of Yorkshire 2 rugby and have a couple of pints.10 minute walk from the cathedral will see you in the centre of Ripon.

Great morning watching York U 9 v Ripon. Players mixed into opposing team to give equal teams for matches, great sportsmanship. Thanks Ripon.Beer was very good.

Went to watch the cricket on a whim. Nice friendly crowd plenty of seats available and well socially distanced, club was serving but you couldn't sit inside due to restrictions, good beer selection and good service. Clubhouse looks recently decorated and very well looked after
