They delivered 3 sheets of Celotex insulation board on Saturday morning ! I wanted 4 but they only had 3 so purchased the other from b&q. I arrived at the job to find 3 tatty & soiled boards ! Must have been old stock but they charged top dollar, I've used them but am now praying the customer won't pull the job before the plasterer boards over them. I paid on line and am still waiting for a receipt. Yes they delivered f o c ! but I could have bought seconds in better condition and a third of the cost!!!One was like a banana( and you can not straighten this stuff.

I do not usually write reviews, but I think this can help save others a lot of time and money...Last Saturday, I ordered some wood for a project I've been working on. I was quoted for the whole job and promised my order would be ready the following week on Saturday (today).When I came to collect it today, the staff member on duty didn't know anything about my order and the specific wood that should have been put aside wasn't there either. There was only half stock left, promised to other customer and I was asked to pay extra for longer lengths which would have bigger leftovers.The staff member also didn't look very interested in doing the job anyway as he pointed out, that he would need to take them from existing pile, which to me sounded like he would need to do an extra work.What a waste of my time!!!A friend of mine recommended a company in Congleton which was very professional, friendly, helpful and even £30 cheaper including the delivery. A great example to the company who let me down.

Your local timber supply. They're good at what they do. The only nag: you really need to know what you want. Because they're a little too set in their ways and lack imagination. If, however, you come with clear specs and ideas, they're awesome!

These guys are my local timber yard and i went in with details of requirements for my latest DIY project, as always they were really efficient and helpful. For the final piece i know the kind of thing i wanted looks wise but not specifically the material. Simon Rhodes was so helpful he came back with multi[e suggestions, spoke to different suppliers to come back with something that was not only perfectly suitable but also looked fab. Really appreciate the extra time and help given to help me create a great. job. Will definitely be back soon!

Over the years, I've used a fair few different timber merchants for different projects, but Illingworth Ingham on Crompton Road in Macclesfield are the only timber merchant now who I can actually trust to get the job done right first time. I usually deal with Chris who is always really helpful and goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy with the service you are getting. Consistently good service, reasonable prices, good product range, and are the only place I know locally who can do a range of more complex cuts accurately. Happy customer. Many thanks, Les

If you don't have an account you get charged what ever they feel like. Not going here again. The price difference for the same thing and quantity is over 50% in a three month period. Can't believe wood has gone up and down so much especially when it's the same stock
