Saint John's Gardens

Nice little garden area to sit and have lunch.

A good place to rest close to city center or have a picnic. The greenery is good. The place is free for the public. On evenings and some of the other times there is a gentle breeze which provides a serene environment. A minute drawback was that they could have maintained the plants there with a bit more care. Overall a good place to have some gentle conversation, perhaps a little gossip etc..

Lovely garden just off Deansgate...you would never think you were in the center of Manchester..great place to sit with a book on a sunny day

Tranquil and a only a few yards from bustling Deansgate. This park is small but it still has a beautiful selection of trees, flowers and plants. Nice to see lots of palms here.Benches are spaced out so it's possible to get some time to yourself. I can recall from when I lived in a city (in the past in London) a park like this offered invaluable peace and calm from hectic city life.Unfortunately, it smelled of urine on the side near Deansgate, but I bet the council do it their best to manage this. I visited on a hot summers day so it was probably particularly pungent.Worth revisiting as it's near where I park the car when going to Manchester. When I do I'll update this review.

Best place to have a sarnie whilst observing the guts of the city. Used to be the Roman urbis.

Very beautiful and peaceful park. Beautiful trees and bushes, comfortable benches. A monument to the church and the 22,000 people buried in its grounds stands in the middle of the gardens where the original entrance of St. John's Church lay.

Good for a lunch break. Either sit down on the grass or benches. Quiet oasis in the town central area. A hidden gem

Came here as Fresh Meat (channel 4 show) was filmed here! Was cool to see the set for the last episode

Its very Peaceful and beautiful small Park near the City Centre, just what is needed for a short brake.
