Brandy Hole

We have become quite regular customers of the Brandy Hole and it is a little hidden gem. The outside of the building can be a little off-putting at first as it has no character whatsoever. But it all changes inside..... upstairs the restaurant/bar is beautifully decorated in New England style. Squashy sofas welcome you while you wait to be seated or just to have tea with friends. The vista from the many windows is stunning and obviously everyone wants to sit next to them so it is a gamble even if requested on booking. But there are NO bad views!The Sunday lunches are wonderful and the specials are just that - enjoyed every meal I have had there. The service is friendly and efficient. Be prepared for a bumpy journey getting there as it is down a very winding road with numerous speed humps to ensure the residents don't get disturbed by the hungry hordes

My wife and I had our wedding day here on the 12/4/18 and can honestly say we had the best day of our lives and an experience we shall never forget. The staff at Brandy Hole were beyond excellent the whole way through our experience and the level of commitment and excitement they showed on the day was second to none they really out did themselves. If anybody is looking for a venue for any sort of event then this is the place to do it and with all the planning that goes in nobody will be disappointed.

Just had a great going away party for my newly married daughter Sophie and her husband Conor.I'd recommend the Brandy Hole to anyone wanting to celebrate.Very organized. Lovely setting. Great views.

A party of 11 arrived yesterday (Sunday) for a double birthday celebration. The waitresses were in abundance serving the drinks. However when the food order was taken everything went down hill. Two meals which were served quite promptly were cold. from thereon the meals arrived in dribs and drabs some of us had finished before the last meal arrived,considering they were nearly all Sunday roast, the kitchen staff were totally unprepared . Needless to say we didn't bother with sweets or coffees and won't be going there again.

Highly recommend this venue and staff!We had our daughter’s 18th birthday party here.It was arranged by us at the last minute but both Amanda and Matt helped us decide what might work; they are highly professional but very friendly staff.Everything was perfect and Amanda helped make sure everything went to plan, we didn’t have to worry at all. Many of my friends and family were also complimentary about Amanda and MattWe will definitely use venue again

I cannot thank everyone at Brandy Hole enough for a truly fabulous birthday party. The venue was perfect for my 40th and all the staff were amazing, so helpful, friendly and polite. It was a brilliant evening, enjoyed by all. Thank you Brandy Hole and I look forward to visiting again soon.

No experience. It used to be a great place to go after a stroll along the river. Good food and nice bar and when the weather was good could sit under the umbrellas with a bowl of mussels watching the yachts go by. Now it is always closed and only takes on functions that seem to be very few and far between. A great shame.

Phoned to book table and advised person taking call we had a TASTE CARD. On arrival we told waitress about having the card. We ordered from menu & specials board and at no time were we told that the taste card didn't cover the specials board. When it was time to pay we were informed that the taste card didn't include meals from specials board so no discount was offered. When I asked to see the manager I was told the manager wasn't there but the deputy (a young lady of approx. 18 years old) told me there was nothing she could do about it I feel that someone should have pointed out the fact you cant have meals from the specials board as it was clear we didn't know, This left me feeling cheated and I will not spend hard earned money in this venue again & will advise friends not to .
