Lovely hotel in the perfect location for a weekend of retail therapy! It was quiet and clean, and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The beds were so comfortable we could have slept for days, and having an audio feed from the TV into the bathroom so we could listen to the radio while having a shower was a great touch. It's just a shame that the food wasn't up to the same standard. Our meal at the hotel's restaurant - Marco Pierre White's Steakhouse - was disappointing to say the least. The food was nice enough, but definitely lacking in flavour. We couldn't bring ourselves to stay for dessert as we had been so put off by the blatant lack of food hygiene and safety. I spent the entirety of my meal staring at a dirty linen cart and black rubbish bag that had been abandoned by the side of the kitchen's service hatch. We also had to watch as one of the servers continuously ate their own food at one of the food prep stations, wiped their mouth with their bare hands, and then immediately began dishing up olives and handling bread. The next morning we went back to the restaurant for the hotel's complimentary breakfast, optimistic that the experience from the night before was simply a blip. However, when an option as simple as pancakes were unavailable, the eggs Benedict was served cold with tough bread, and there were no jams available for the limited selection of pastries, we began to think that perhaps the previous night's poor experience was not a fluke. This was absolutely cemented in our minds that evening when we ordered a simple cheese pizza from room service, only to be presented with a Chicago Town, sauce-stuffed crust, frozen pizza! (I'm very familiar with these because they are a staple for my two boys at home) So we paid nearly £15 for the privilege of a fancy restaurant to heat up a frozen supermarket pizza and transfer it to a takeaway pizza box...Despite the issues with the food, we would absolutely come back to stay at the hotel. We would just give the restaurant a miss.

We were in Cardiff for a birthday shopping trip. This hotel was positioned perfectly in the heart of the shopping district. Parking is a bit of a walk, but manageable and cost us £26 for 24 hours. We had a superior room, which was really pleasant, but unfortunately within a few hours of checking in, the bathroom developed a strong sewage smell. The staff member on duty was extremely polite and apologetic and immediately moved us to another room. We were offered drinks vouchers, but it was a bit late for us to use them. I wish I had raised the issue before we went out for the evening.I would stay here again, as I think this could happen in any hotel and was dealt with well. The room was clean and we enjoyed the themed decor. Great shower! We ate breakfast at the bigmoose cafe over the road, so I can't comment on the food.

We spent last night here for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday, it is definitely my favourite hotel we have stayed in. Spotlessly clean, wonderful customer service, excellent location in the city centre and the rooms are so nicely decorated. The bed was super comfy and the room super cosy for November.. didn’t want to leave! 5 stars and more ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Also a big thank you to the lovely Jacques the fantastic front of house manager who gave us two complimentary free drinks at the bar for the birthday celebration - a really lovely touch.

A fantastic hotel that is located in the center of Cardiff and a short walk from the major tourist attractions, shopping areas, bars, restaurants and the train and coach station. What made this stay extra special were the super friendly, helpful and welcoming staff who provided an excellent service. A special mention to Maya at the front desk. It didn't matter what time of the day it was, but I was always greeted with a friendly smile, which goes a long way.The rooms are of a high standard and similar to other hotels of this brand, have a unique theme that reflects the history and present culture of the area. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean and had all the amenities that you would need for a few days stay. It even included a complementary mini bar.I guess the only small downside is the lack of a dedicated hotel car park, but with good public transport links within walking distance and the central location of the hotel, you really don't need a car to get around Cardiff. There are a few car parks in very close proximity that can be used if need be.Would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel in a great location for walking to restaurants, the castle, shopping, and the Christmas Fair. Very comfortable bed and super clean. The only downside was that it was very noisy whilst local bars are open. Overall we had a lovely stay and would return.
