The Old Station Nursery High Wycombe

I work at The old station nursery and there has so much change since Jo has implemented lots of changes which have benefited not only us staff but the parents and children which is our main priority. The company have investing so much into the setting and we are all grateful for that. The children, parents and staff are happier. Would high recommend sending your children here or even starting a career in childcare

There has been a really positive change at OSN High Wycombe in recent months. Our son joined in September 2022 and sadly, that year, the site was poorly managed and OFSTED agreed. Since the management changed earlier in the year, the place is a back to what it was when we first joined. The care is seconed to none, our boy is happy, safe and developing as any parent would hope for.

I am so happy we decided on this nursery! My little one really enjoys his time at nursery and loves the staff here. He has developed so much and gets to go on daily walks, do messy play / indoor activities and the garden has been newly refurbished which looks so lovely. The team really put me at ease and are always so caring.

There has been a lot of positive change in the nursery over the last 6 months with Jo and the team. The garden renovation is lovely and it’s great the kids play with wooden toys too.

I’ve had the most amazing experience at The Old Station Nursery, High Wycombe. My child has settled really well as the staff are so welcoming and offer a home from home experience. The nursery has changed for the better, of the last few months as the management has changed, the communication now is amazing and we really feel part of the nursery again. They have recently had a garden refurbishment and it has made such a difference to the outside environment for the children. Well done Jo and the team.

My son has been at the old station nursery since he was 2 years old the the ladies who work there are really nice they make u feel very welcome. My son has learnt a lot since going there he loves coming home and telling me and his brothers all about his day and what hes done with his friends and teachers. He comes home singing songs from nursery, wanting to dish out his own food at home. Brings home his art work which hes proud of.I want to say a big thank you to all the staff who work there for making my sons time at nursery exciting ,fun, enjoyable, and a happy place for him to be.

We are so happy with the nursery, our son loves it so much and is very well cared for. His development has come on fast, and we are just so so thrilled with everything. Thank you OSN!

My child did not learn anything whilst there! Not even a song. I gave it a 3 star because they have good meals and a chef on site and a beautiful garden. They do not go outside much (they started now, but not when the old management was as there). The staff is uninterested, moody and sometimes they world not even acknowledge you at pick up time. The babies wonder around aimlessly! No structure, their day is not planned. The staff is bored! No wonder!!! If the day is not planned with activities! My child would often come home and say how bored he was. On my child’s last day of nursery, the staff did not even make an effort to say goodbye properly to him, to me and some of the staff did not even say goodbye. I looked around his room at pick up and the staff just turned their heads away! His key staff member just said bye like it was any other day! Shocking! Then they sent a half arsed invitation (by phone!) to a ‘Graduation Day’ which then got cancelled and booked another day. Shambles! Absolutely shambles! They could not even do that properly! We did not bother going! My son did not like any of the staff in particular as none made an effort with him. The transition from nursery to school should be something that should be celebrated and made a fuss about, but this nursery is beyond anything I have ever seen. So glad we finished now. If staff do not change and I hate to say this as people need their job and I would not want to harm anyone, but close the place down! Seriously damaging the children when they should be thriving! My son should have learned so many things to get him ready for school, like holding a pen, letters numbers, songs, get dressed for PE putting shoes on, basic stuff!!! So annoyed with the nursery! It really is no joke what they are doing! The should be moulding young lives but the staff indifference just shows so much! Apparently the staff are very unhappy and this is something the management should address. Create a culture where the staff thrives and is not afraid to speak up and be unhappy at work every day. Focus on your staff and keep them motivated and happy and the children will follow!

Lovely nursery with incredibly caring staff. Since Jo has taken over as Manager so many positive changes have been made and this is clearly reflected in the children and also the staff. The staff retention for example has vastly improved. The new garden is fantastic and the children are outside everyday. Since being at TOSN our son has come on leaps and bounds and truly enjoys his time there! We love seeing photos on the app and at the end of each day, hearing what he has been upto.
