I would give more stars if I could. I have been really anxious (to the point of fainting) about my teeth and dentist visits my whole life. However, I have been registered here for several years now and I recently realised that my positive experiences with this surgery have helped me get over my phobia and I am no longer afraid! Jasmine is the best dentist I have ever been to and is just lovely, kind, reassuring, understanding and gives great advice. I also saw Ruaridh recently as my wonderful usual dentist is on leave, I felt the usual apprehension creeping in but I was soon reassured and put at ease. My wee issue was dealt with quickly and calmly and my mind was put at ease about future treatments. The whole team are lovely, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this surgery to anyone and especially people who are anxious about visiting the dentist.

Highly recommend Southside Dental. Having had a real fear of dentists and needing loads of work done, I visited a good few dentists in Edinburgh to have a consultation.Southside was by far the best I visited-professional, personal & honest and brilliant service from all staff. I will continue here as a patient and no longer dread going to the dentist! I had implant & whitening treatment & I’m delighted with the results.

I am not a registered patient in this clinic and will never be. They are fooling me taking advantage of this coronavirus special period and my tooth pain./ I had a tooth pain and went to the office, Natalie told me they do not accept new pacient as NHS, but only membership pacient, and she gave me the booklet of becoming memebership. Why you never mentioned this 1-2 week process wait before?//Natalie said on day 2* that if I pay, she can check my tooth right away, why now there is a 1-2 week membership process wait? //On day 3*, I called the receptionist that I had a tooth emergency, she knows exactly that I am willing to pay the membership and get treated asap, why she did not mention the 1-2 week wait and have me wait for the whole weekend with pain?-You guys are BETTER at fooling the pacient and taking advantage of this coronavirus special period THAN really knowing how to make a good vaule of money in a long term.

I first went to Southside when my front crown began to fail causing me much discomfort. Above my failing crown, I had gum decay to the point it was black and painful. I had not visited a dentist for many years, and this made me very apprehensive about going. I expected, at the very least, that I would be made to feel neglectful to my dental health. I couldn't have been more wrong or more pleasantly surprised by first, Dr Lucy Sinclair (for my general dental assessment), and then her colleague Dr Leanne Branton (for my reconstruction work). Both were really friendly and professional. There was no judgment on my failure to see a dentist in many years. They were only focused on the problem and the subsequent plan to solve it. In this, they ensured that I was fully informed throughout, and involved in any decisions required as part of the remediation plans. Dr Branton performed miracle work to fit in a new implant in an area that had severely depleted due to gum/bone decay. Not only does the end implant look fantastic, but my mouth/gums now feel so much healthier in general. I can't thank (or recommend) them/the practice enough.

*Implant and orthodontic review* I have been a happy patient of Southside for 8 years. Leanne's primary focus has always been healthy gum and minimizing cavities with cosmetics, although important, a secondary goal. This is the main reason why I chose Southside to permanently replace a missing upper central canine with an implant ; Leanne would never do anything to jeopardize a healthy tooth. Leanne carefully discussed every option and arranged an in house consultation with the resident orthodontist Josh; it was evident afterwards both Josh and Leanne had spent a great amount of time working together to produce several plans for me to choose (including no orthodontics). We decided fixed clear braces for 6 - 12 months would be beneficial and Josh was the utmost professional. Hi my name is Kenny McKenzie and I have just completed having dental implants to replace a metal removable plate I had in place of my front teeth which was always coming loose and made eating difficult and often awkward and embarrassing when trying to enjoy a meal out having to limit my choices of food to compensate. I looked around on the internet for a dentist in my area and living in Edinburgh I was spoilt for choice, however I came across the Southside dental practice website and read positive reviews about them . The cost was a big thing for me and something which had put me off in the past but I saw they were doing 0% finance and a free consultation so went along to see what my options were. I met Dr Leanne Branton who was very welcoming and understood what I wanted to achieve within a certain budget. Within a few days she had sent me a full treatment plan outlining each stage and a cost breakdown for the options chosen. She favoured saving original teeth over extraction for implants on a couple of my front teeth and with a mixture of crowns and implants she managed to achieve a great result for me and within my budget. I have been a patient at Southside dental practice for several years, however, due to pandemic I had let regular visits slip. Recently I had cracked a molar tooth and made an appointment. Ruairidh explained the options I had and took time to answer all questions regarding treatment. I decided to opt for the removal of amalgam filling replaced with a composite filling with crown. I had 2 appointments on the same day. The first part of treatment involved removal of amalgam filling and replaced with composite filling and this was around 45 minutes. Once filling was completed Ruairudh used some high tech equipment to scan inside my mouth, this took images of my cracked tooth and then on the computer screen created a 3D image of a complete tooth!!! Very, very impressive. Ruairidh made various adjustments to the scanned image to ensure that my 'new' tooth would be the correct bite once in situ. The image was then 3D printed on site. I returned in the afternoon to have crown fixed in place and this took about 20 minutes, no anesthetic required. Going to the dentist is never a pleasure but I can wholeheartedly say this was a very positive experience, really happy with my new tooth worth every penny. Great service and Ruairidh has a very relaxing manner. The entire team were attentive and friendly, exactly what is needed in a medical environment. Thank you!!

I was searching for a dentist to do implant treatment. visited Southside Dental Care and when I visited the clinic, I found they are so caring and supportive. Leanne explained to me the entire process and suggested to stay calm during the treatment. Very happy with with my new smile. Many thanks!

I recently had a couple of appointments at Southside Dental care, the first of which was to have two fillings placed, and then later had some work done to repair my chipped front teeth. I was treated by a dentist named Eleri who was extremely helpful and clear when explaining what was needed. I couldn’t have been happier with the results. Each of the dental nurses in the room assisting her were polite and professional during the appointments.Would highly recommend Eleri and the practice in general.

I had the implant done earlier this summer and cannot compliment Leanne and the rest of the team enough! Very professional, advanced technology, also everything was explained very well and what is most important- they always made sure I was ok and felt comfortable.
