Only one of it's kind left in the world and it offers a very personal and unique ride experience. Good fun.

I have no words :O well, it happened that the seat belt was quite un secure. if I hadn't held on to the horse for my life I would have flew off the drop and had a serious injury maybe died. It slings you around the corner at 100mph.I like how brutal this ride is but that's about it.I wouldn't mind if this ride was taken for another newer one like icon was but..

The legend red rum opened this ride in 1977 . I loved that horse and I love this ride. It's one of a kind ride . If all is working there are 3 horses that race each other as you go over hills and bends . It's beautiful .

I like this ride, more for the nostalgia than anything else, but it is still fun, if a little dated now. Got to admit though that the chances of getting stuck somewhere along the ride because of a fault is quite high, had to be walked down from it quite a few times now, I'm not complaining, it's part of it's retro charm really.

I use to go this as a kid and I don't remember it being this bad but trying it again as an adult was a horrible experience even the nostalgia could not save it. Probably one of the worst rides I've ever been on and had a nasty bruise to show for it. People in front of us complained about the ride roughness and the people I went on with also came off with the same complaints with injuries, this is a seriously dangerous coaster, avoid this if you have any issues.

A true gem, great fun racing with friends and as classic a feel as you can get! Restraints are old which adds to the great atmosphere as you take the ride. Amazing

Love the fact they were running all three tracks dispite the short queue. The racing element makes this even more fun. Glad to ride all three tracks so I can add them to my coaster count.

While this is the only one of it's kind left in the world and people might have nostalgia for it i do think it's had it's day. it's quite rough and uncomfortable and the space it occupies could be better used for something new and modern.

One of my favourites, although it is rather rough. You may feel like you’re going to fall off so if you’re scared of heights it probably isn’t the ride for you. But it’s a lot Of fun to race your friends and family on the different tracks!

The Steeplechase is a three tracked racing roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, England. It is a custom design made by Arrow Dynamics. The ride was officially opened in 1977 by Grand National winner Red Rum, whose hoof print was also taken and is on display near the ride's exit. It is the only operating steeplechase roller coaster left in the world. The riders sit upon a horse-shaped vehicle which can seat one or two people in line. The ride has two chain lift hills and the track winds around part of the Big Dipper and underneath part of the Nickelodeon Streak. The station is located near the Big One in the south of the park.
