Allington Farm Shop
We love to stop at Allington cafe for breakfast anytime we are heading west from London. A couple of weeks ago we had the usual fantastic breakfast and smoothies on our way to a camping trip. I managed to leave my purse behind and we weren't passing by on our return and we live a couple of hours away so they very kindly posted it out to me. The food is fantastic and the people are always super friendly. Can't wait to visit again on our next journey west. The kids get so excited it helps getting them up and out early!

This is one of those garden centre cafes that seem to get more trade than the garden centre itself and the cafe is the new destination.We had lunch and dessert on a Saturday, probably not the best time to visit! The downside - noise! I actually left with a headache as there was no sound deadening or blocking between booths and the constant noise level was ridiculous. I don’t know how the staff cope.Other than that, lunch was nice, desserts were fabulous and prices were on the high end considering the environment. Staff were friendly and the menu had a good variety.

During the covid19 lockdown this shop has been a gem to visit.Staff are friendly, the goods are fresh and you can find many things from fresh veg, fruits, eggs, milk products, meat, frozen fruit you measure out yourself, pasta, bread, sweets, cakes...There is also a garden centre - but I have not visited that part. Due to the lockdown the cafeteria part is not open either.My new faves beside the steady love of pork sausages is the meringue drops and the brownies! Heaven!Car park available and it is step free.

Stumbled upon this on the way through Chippenham - really happy we did as the cafe is lovely. Unpretentious and very tasty food, with a nice atmosphere!

We visited the cafe twice during our trip to Allington Farm Shop yesterday. In the first visit I had their very tasty Allington Cafe Breakfast. The bacon was delicious and cooked perfectly, everything was hot and there was plenty of it. Plenty of butter for the 2 slices of toast too. Some cafes can skimp a little on the butter so this was great.In our 2nd visit to the cafe, we sat at the only remaining seat which was at the bar, right next to the cake display. How could we resist? Both cakes were delicious and the coffee was great too.Very friendly welcome and excellent table service.Will definitely visit here again.

Yes it’s a farm shop and so expect higher prices but don’t know why there were negative comments. Food was fresh, service was friendly and helpful. We went Saturday and Sunday for lunch after arriving from London.Enjoyed a tasty lamb shoulder , the meat was sort of compressed into a patty appearance but tasted great. Wife and I also enjoyed the three salad bowl, interesting mix of flavours. For cake we tried Victoria sponge, frangipani tart, cherry cheese cakeFruit in the shop was fresh too

Fantastic farm shop with a great range of meat, fresh produce and some amazing drinks, condiments and treats that I've never seen anywhere else.It is pricey but for occasional treats it's great. (there is a cafe here too)

Went in here just for farm shop, produce was amazing. Then we went in the cafe too for lunch and best food! We'll proced and great quality. Would def recommend this place

Best food establishment in the area. Breakfast is excellent, but the real deal is at lunch on the specials board. I am a New Yorker and I do struggle with the lack of choice and sometimes quality in Chippenham, but Alington consistently delivers excellent food and amazing service. My favorite place in Chippenham.
