Lovely Lane Dental Centre Warrington
Went for a emergency appointment today, I'm not a fan of the dentist so brought my partner with me. After the dentist examined my mouth he made out nothing was there that I thought was and it came across like it was in my head by the impression I got from him. An x-ray was taken and it was only when my partner explained I've been feeling pressure in the roof of my mouth when the dentist suddenly changed his mind about my symptoms and went from it seeming there was nothing wrong with me to finding an infection, needing root canal treatment and possibly crowns. It was a full 180 and now has made us question whether something is wrong or whether all that further treatment is necessary right now. The dentist further mentioned he had an ongoing joke about patient problems that day with his colleague, I found this quite unprofessional as did my partner.

Nobody likes going to the dentist right? That said, I can't recommend the practice more highly. First off, a massive thank you to the dentist Qaseem Hussain (sorry if the spelling is off!). He was brilliant from the first consultation to the treatment itself. He extracted my tooth without me even realising he'd done it! Literally didn't feel a thing!!The pricing was transparent and no pressure selling. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and I would happily recommend to others.

UPDATED REVIEWThis dental practice is good, but as you can see from my original review below, I was initially more than a little disappointed by an apparent overcharge. (Emphasis on word apparent")In my opinion the pricing structure advertised on the Emerdency website is very misleading. If I could rate more stars I would. I had an urgent issue that needed to be seen to and Dr Stephen Porter was absolutely fantastic. I hadn't been to the dentist since I was at school (left at 16 and am 35 now). I was so embarrassed, ashamed and scared about the state of my teeth and he was so professional, kind and so outgoing. Especially when I needed a tooth to be removed and I explained I have a needle phobia. Not only did I not feel a thing but he made sure I was okay every step of the way and was re assuring me the whole time.If I had a dentist like him years ago I wouldn't have been so afraid to see him. I'm registering my daughter to see him as with someone like him dealing with her she will have no fear and will grow up with a beautiful smile.Thank you so much Stephen.

Brilliant service today with my tooth extraction, being given a 1 month date with my nhs dentist that wasn't acceptable for me, luckily called lovely lane dental clinic and sent my x ray over to get a price for private was all sorted within 2 hrs!, a big thank you to Dr Stephen porter, and his team & receptionist for a great service today, have signed up on there private scheme now, thanks again for a quick and efficient treatment today!Many thanks.Phil Burke

To everyone reading this please not be fooled by the 4.7 rating they have got on Google. That’s what got me into this mess. I am writing this review in agony and pain at 4 am in the morning. MyOver the course of 9 months I have had a filling put in 4 times on the same tooth. What’s worse is that nobody owes up for their mistake. They make you feel uncomfortable and make me pay for every single bit of treatment they can. Knowing it will not work and eventually lead to the big money grab the “root canal treatment”.Appointments are rushed, even though I pay full private price, it feels like it’s a mission to get me out the chair as quick as possible. Anyone else I’ve spoken to even on the NHS rate, appears to be treated a lot more with care and precision. (Not at this practice)The lines are always busy, even if the receptionist ladies are just chatting to each other. I’ve driven over 4 times to the practice just to get a message across. For anyone else that goes, you can understand the traffic on lovely lane and parking.Went for my recent appointment which I already paid for and made me pay for again. This was recommended as an option before the root canal. They knew this would never work an were constantly hinting at a root canal. Suprise suprise after 1 day of the testament being completed I was in the worst pain.(literally injecting a fluid where the filling was, nothing else. Meant to be special treatment with a 12 minute setting time, nothing special let me tell u that. You could feel the pain in the doctors voice when they said 12 minutes, as it goes off their precious time. They also didn’t check my other two tooth problems which were promised.Personally I believe medical negligence has been committed and will seek legal advice regarding this. When I mentioned my filling should have a 12 month guarantee. It’s like you’re asking for free treatment and robbing them. I got told the old dentist had left who I paid so they had to work it out and we’re unsure as apparently it’s not simple. However did that dentist not work in the same practice I got my treatment from? Why should I care that he’s left, I was under the practice treatments guarantee, I don’t need to know another dentist has left. I believe in what’s right and would never claim things that aren’t true.Proper effective care doesn’t exist anymore, it’s all about making the most money possible. Some of My family and friends have had fillings put in over 10 years ago and never had a problem with it. It’s no coincidence and I’m sure this has happened to other patients. So if you’re in the same boat, reply to this comment. I can see and I’ve over heard that a dentist named Stephen is apparently really good at this practice. You would expect that a patient that has been through troubles would be put in the best hands possible. Not in that of a new young just starting dentist who they provided for me.As for Clayton and Scott, expect my legal team to be in contact.

Great Dentist. Had a tooth extracted, was very nervous. Mr Stephen Porter was very kind, he put me at ease explaining what was happening right throughout the procedure. It couldn't of gone any better.Would definately recommend this dentist to family and friends.

Asked if I would get a reminder for my appointment like I do everywhere else that I book one as it really helps and very busy 7 days a week. I heard nothing from them even after the missed appointment so I phoned up asking why I’ve not had a reminder which till now they still haven’t given me where they explained I had missed it on the 29th nov and called today requesting for my deposit back of £200 which they said that I’d be charged £150 for not turning up even though I didn’t receive my requested reminder because if I knew they wouldn’t send one, I would have gone elsewhere. So I saw what went wrong, they inputted my phone number in error as they tried calling me to talk about the refund but one of the digits was adrift after they emailed the number over. Told them to keep the £50 as they took the £150 already but they explained they couldn’t hold the refund and that it would be left in my account, well I told them I wouldn’t be going back due to the thieving of my money and they obviously need it more than I do. Moral of the story is, trust no one or what they say unless it’s in writing.
