The only thing more delightful than buying your own VW camper, is buying it from Paul at Welsh Coast Campers! We’ve had the van three weeks now and it’s a total dream, no problems at all and continues to attract compliments everywhere we go. The quality of the workmanship is unbeatable and Paul handled all the paperwork and gave us a proper thorough handover of the van so we could make the most of it from day one. We are over the moon with the experience as a whole and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Paul and Welsh Coast Campers time and time again!!

Please do not, and I repeat do not deal with this Company. I recently purchased a T6 conversion described as show room condition. WHAT A JOKE. The van is a complete mess when you deeper. It transpires that there was zero service carried out, zero history of any service carried out, no cam belt or water pump changed, multiple failures which to date includes window motors, headlights and wiper motor. The attention to detail was so poor despite me having to send back initially with a list of items to rectify, and guess what this was ignored. Even the windscreen was deemed unsafe as it was not clipped in. The scuttle tray had been snapped and the bottom of the screen was not fixed in so this had led to an influx of water. There was also damage to the side windows.I’ve since taken the joke of a van to an independent inspector and the revelations are shocking which I can’t detail as I’m in the process of dealing with trading standards, and yes he has history with his substandard work. Granted I knew the van was a donor commercial but who puts flooring down on top of mud. Yes he van was caked internally with mud. Under the floor, in the engine bay plus the wheel caliper were in that bad of condition, a braking specialist acknowledge that they were the worse set of calipers he’d eve seen - so bad that they couldn’t be refurbished. To date I have spent thousands putting things right but now I’ve given up as the van requires too much work to be worthy campervan.THE WARRANTY IS USELESS. This guy advertises vans that are not real. Don’t be led into thinking you’re purchasing the advertised van -re not. I now know why I wasn’t allowed to see the van where conversion was taken place.Disgraceful, £36k for something on the outside that looked good but the horrors wear hidden. Let me share some pics of the horrors being unraveled- this is not an exhaustive list of them but it’ll give you a flavor of what you’re giving up your hard earned money for. Oh by the way, when I’ve asked for a refund, guess what - silent. No comms. Anyhow I have to get formal now…You can see the mud which has been hidden. The worrying thing for me is that the ventilation in the front cab was full of debris and mud also. The inspector advised that this is what we would be breathing in….our dreams have been shattered. My twins are completely devastated as this was our savings that went into this van. Paul you should be ashamed of yourself. And yes I should have been more diligent but I was led down a very long garden path where everything seemed rosy until I reached the kingdom of WCCs hell!To note. I had to leave the one star for this to get posted, it really deserves zero stars!

We bought our Dobby 3 years ago from Welsh Coast Campers after a 6 hour drive to talk with Phil and look at vans in different stages of conversion.Phil sourced the donar van and completed the conversion to a higher standard than we expected and we're blown away when we picked it up.Phil organised the hotel and even collected us from the station to drop us off both there and the morning after to collect.Welsh Coast Campers After sales was second to none, and even paid for, and supplied an awning rail for a local company to fit.3 years on and Paul still has been available to both speak to and offer advice with any help we required.Honest, fantastic at what they do and can't recommend then enough.Ste n Julie Edmo

Bought our ‘pride and joy’ just before summer… and it’s not disappointed! The conversion is stunning and completed to such a high standard!Paul was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him…he even showed my little boy the machinery and process involved in completing the conversion. (While on crutches with a broken leg.!!) our bespoke van was ready in 10 days!Highly recommend.. we are delighted with our treasured campervan.

So, we've had our Transporter T6.1 van from Welsh Coast Campers for 10 months now and it's a good time now to write our review. We had read the reviews on Paul, but knew someone who had purchased a van from him and were pleased with it.Called into WCC and met Paul. He told us that he was about to take delivery of a new T6.1 in Indium grey with a tailgate, which was exactly what we were looking for. We were impressed with the finish on the vans that were for sale. His son Phil got us a good part ex on our car from a local dealer which we were happy with.We chose our package with some added extras. We emphasised at this point that we did not want a spoiler on the tailgate as we would be adding a bike rack. Nothing seemed to much trouble, Paul showed us around the upholstery area and the paint shop where he suggested that a gloss front grill would look really good on the van.The day came to pick our van up, and it was in prime position in the garage looking stunning. After Paul showed us how everything worked, we noticed that a spoiler had been fitted ! Paul agreed that it was his mistake and agreed to fit a tow bar and even threw in a free bike rack.We also noted on getting home that the gloss front grill, lights in the pop top and an extra sockethad not been fitted. It was at this point that things started to go wrong with WCC aftercare service. To cut a long story short, our van travelled up and down the motorway on numerous occasions to get everything sorted out. It took months!Once it was finally returned with all the works completed, we noticed that the Transporter badge on the tailgate had been removed. There was also lots of white overspray on the rear of the van. At this point, we didn't bother getting in touch with Paul as our van had already had enough miles needlessly added to it, and we sorted it out ourselves. To sum up, we are really pleased with our van, had lots of comments on how lovely the van looks inside and out, but extremely disappointed with the length of time it took to rectify the problems which shouldn't have happened in the first place. They need to invest in their aftercare service as its really poor and that's why we have only given 3 stars. If Paul reads this, I hope that he accepts that this is a truthful review.
