Hillside Playcare Little Waltham

Me and my wife visited a few nurseries before making our decision to send our daughter to hillside.... when we stepped in for the first time the staff were so friendly the children were so happy and engaged... it felt like a home away from home. Can't recommend them enough

Great nursery, would highly recommend. Daughter runs in every time with a big smile on her face! Fun filled sessions in a caring, warm, nurturing setting.

What an amazing little nursery! My child has absolutely loved her time at Hillside and she has learned so much along the way. The staff are extremely friendly and you can tell they really care for all the children, they go above and beyond. My daughter has loved this place since the day she started, I feel so lucky to have found it.

We are delighted with our decision to send our daughter to Hillside. She is thriving! After a terrible experience at a different setting, the staff at Hillside were so accommodating and settled our daughter (and us) in gently and successfully. In no time at all she was bounding in so happily every morning. I love hearing all she has to say about her exciting day at nursery, she speaks so fondly of all her friends and teachers. In only a short space of time we have seen a great improvement in our daughters confidence; communication; knowledge of numbers and sounds; pencil control and gross motor skills, and thanks to the varied snacks and lunches she is more willing to try new foods. We are so grateful to the staff for their wonderful work, we look forward to our daughter attending the enrichment sessions in September and for her little sister to join Hillside when the time comes. A big thank you to the whole team.

This is the only place I would consider sending my children. The staff at Hillside are all fantastic.You can tell they all really care about the children, they encourage and help them to grow. I've seen the results of this first hand over the time my little one has attended.She has grown in confidence and made some lovely friends. She actually cried when they broke up for half term thinking she wasn't going back! She loves it there and we love it there too.It is no wonder there is a waiting list! You MUST visit them and get your name down as early as you can!

My daughter has been going to Hillside nursey and The Barn for almost a year. She absolutely loves it!. She always comes home full of excitement and keen to tell me stories about her day. Max and her team do a great job thinking of new and innovative ways to keep the children engaged and stimulated in their learning journey. The barn experience is a wonderful way for the children to be active and learn about nature. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this nursery.

My daughter absolutely loves being at Hillside… she has come on leaps and bounds since starting there and always comes home with a big smile on her face telling me all about her exciting day.The staff are all amazing and keep me well informed of her progress and next steps. There is such a family feel to the nursery and all the parents/children and staff make you feel so welcome.Would highly recommend the nursery to all. My daughter attends Hillside and it's just an amazing place! She learns so much and everyday when she comes home she is excited to tell me what she has done that day.The staff are so warm and caring. I couldn't imagine sending her somewhere else. It's like a big family.When my son is old enough he is definitely going to Hillside.I would 1000% recommend hillside

My daughter has been attending Hillside since September 2020 and I could not wish for a better setting for her to attend.The staff are experienced, kind and dedicated. They encourage independence but give time to teach and ensure each child flourishes.My daughter has emotional difficulties yet the staff have worked with me to ensure that her needs are met and that we are helping her to use strategies to cope with these issues.Every day there are a variety of different activities provided for the children (singing, painting, role play, model making, cooking etc) and these are often personalised accordingly.The children are taught social skills, how to deal with their emotions as well as academic development.The dedication and love from the team means each child is able to learn, grow and become more independent.However. most importantly the children are safe, loved and happy. I cannot recommend this preschool highly enough. It has given my daughter the best start and I could not be more appreciative .

My goodness, I don't even know where to start with Hillside. They have been so amazing with my daughter and with us as a family. My daughter started in September 2020. So, she been stuck at home during lockdown. She used to cry EVERYDAY when she goes in. She was like that for 3 months. It was tough but the staff literally went above and beyond to help her settle and helped me as a mother. I cannot thank them enough! All the staff are just amazing. Now, she is due to leave Hillside to start school in September. I am so sad she is leaving this lovely setting. Hillside really helped her to develop her confidence and really got her school ready". I wish I could have sent my eldest daughter to this setting too
