Cappuccino and lemon cake to tide me over to dinner. The selection of pastries was limited but they offer a variety of coffees. The wait staff were friendly and the service was quick.

Lovely little stop off point and very popular. Was advised when we went in that they were short staffed and service was taking longer than normal, which was nice to be advised but we were in no rush and we really didn't have to wait long at all. Food all looked very tempting, we had drinks and scones which came with butter and delicious jam. Would definitely go back and sample the lovely looking panini's, soup sounded good as well.

Amazing cafe, all home cooked and fabulous quality. Gift shop is well stocked, toilets clean and tidy and there’s a stunning view from the cafe. We received a lovely welcome, the dogs too! Definitely worth a stop off.

Nice little cafe and shop. Not a great deal of selection in either, but the quality of the food available is very high. Delicious soup and a cake went down a treat. Most of the tables by windows have a good view out to the castle. Great spot for a rest, some photos and epic views of the castle.

Coming from a country where Scones are a staple of any fair or show run by the country women’s association, I can say I was in heaven when I bit in to their fruit scone. Fresh from the oven with fresh cream and jam was the best morning wake up meal I could have wished for.The ladies are all lovely and helpful, going out of their was to make sure my nut allergy companion was safe in her food choices.Beautiful views from the dining area, it’s a pleasant place to stop on your journey

Can't go lower than one star... there was no cafe.. but did walk around and view the castle from up near the carpark and closed up restaurant/cafe building. Beautiful view and castle has a lot of history

Great selection of food, home baking and hot drinks. Beautiful setting too.The shop is handy for picking up gifts and locally made stuff.The staff are welcoming and friendly too.

Absolutely great find on our recent trip to Scotland.Great choice of food and drinks with a stunning view from the cafe. We chose to go for breakfast and enjoyed the warmth of the cafe whilst escaping the minus temperatures outside.The road/path to the castle is currently closed, so we were unable to check that out. However, you can still see it well from the cafe windows and outside weather permitting.The gift shop was well stocked and reasonably priced, friendly staff who were more than happy to talk about the products they shocked.If we're ever passing through again, we will certainly stop off for another bite to eat
