As a young child I was chucked out of a church choir and told that I was tone deaf. From that day I spent my life miming songs in public. At the age of 52 I thought my dream of learning how to sing was just that – a dream. A few months ago, I decided to try and find a singing tutor. I was apprehensive as I had a few lessons about 10 years ago that didn’t go well for me. I looked at different tutors, but it was Karens webpage that I was drawn to, and I knew I wanted her to be my tutor. I wasn’t disappointed. From the first moment I met Karen her welcoming, friendly, and easy-going manner made me feel relaxed and at ease. I particularly liked her holistic approach. As a complete beginner she is very patient and encouraging. Karen soon discovered the best method to excel my learning approach and now applies techniques personally suited for me. I came to Karen looking for singing lessons but very quickly realised I was dealing with a talented and open minded musician of the highest quality. Karen is also very laid back which is a lovely quality when you're a nervous beginner. She composes wonderful songs and has a musical instinct that's a joy to be around! I have trained professionally as a singer for most of my life, which honestly just caused me lots vocal issues and awful confidence problems.Then I came across the voice unleashed program via an ad on Facebook and decided to give it a go, I had tried everything else and had almost given up singing completely!Signing up for that course was one of the best decisions I've made.I've been working through the program and had private coaching calls with Karen and already my technique has drastically improved and even better my confidence is growing and I'm finally finding my own voice (rather than being a human copy machine!)If you are on the fence, don't hesitate, give it a try, if it can help me, it can help anyone!
