Awesome place. The nicest family I met in Scotland!!! This place is a very good option for those that like a nice bed and breakfast. 5 Stars on everything. You won’t be disappointed.

Great place to stay. Amazing breakfast and wonderful personal service. I’d love to stay there again when I go back. Right down the street from a bus stop and only a 15 minute taxi from the airport.

This delightful Victorian house is a perfect bed and breakfast option for people who want a break from your standard hotel room. With the beautiful Victorian style furniture you will feel like a king or queen of Scotland. Jimmy and Fiona were wonderful hosts and they went above and beyond to accommodate our schedule. My wife and I went on a tour while in Edinburgh that started early and ended late. Jimmy and Fiona made sure that we had a good breakfast to start our day and they waited up for us to make sure we were looked after upon our return. To top it off, the breakfast that is served each day will most certainly be the best breakfast on your entire visit to Scotland. While the full Scottish is a classic choice, the salmon and eggs were the star of the show. While Glenalmond House is perfect in every way, there is a small warning which is that the shower is very small. I highly recommend staying here, especially for couples who want a quiet place that is not too far from the action.

Perfect for our little stay. Fiona and Jimmy were very attentive and helpful. Our room was very cosy and the bathroom was great for our needs. The breakfast was delicious also.Proximity to bus stops was great to get in and out of Edinburgh.Highly recommended.

Seriously, what an exceptional stay we’ve had! The photos don’t do the house justice and must be seen in person to understand what an amazing experience it is to stay here. Everyday starts with a breakfast and coffee or tea. The menu has many delicious options and my partner and I had fun making our way through the menu. We felt like this was more like staying at a large family home - we will be back and are sad to be leaving such a marvelous place. Our hosts were amazing, thank you so much!

Wonderful stay in Glenalmond House! Fiona & Jimmy were lovely. The house is beautiful, the beds were very comfortable and all very clean. The breakfast... delicious! The house is 20 minutes away from the city centre and as you walk throught the neighborhood you can see lots of wonderful houses. Thank you for all Jimmy & Fiona!!

So enjoyed our stay and first visit to Edinburgh. Jimmy and Fiona were gracious hosts, and the breakfasts were wonderful with a lot of options to choose from. The location including free parking and neighborhood made for easy walking and access. I would certainly come back again.

Beautiful old house that’s been kept up nicely run by two very accommodating and kind people. I felt very well taken care of. Highly recommend!

What a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed our three nights. Breakfast was fantastic, the location is easily accessible to anywhere in the city. Fiona and Jimmy could not have been nicer or more welcoming from lending me their personal phone charging cord until I could purchase one to the care they put into every part of our stay. The rooms and house are exceptionally clean and well kept. Bed comfortable, towels replenished daily. I highly recommend.
