I was shocked to find I needed cataract surgery and not just new glasses. My assessment and timescale was absolutely as promised. Everyone was so friendly and encouraging. My first Eye Surgery was only a few weeks later, but in spite of all the encouragement at the first assessment, I was very nervous indeed. I needn't have worried as everyone was kind, efficient and so patient. The Surgery was absolutely fantastic. The team brilliant and caring. The aftercare information given was so professionally prepared. I wouldn't say I am excited to have my other eye done but I will be so pleased to have good vision again and will feel much happier doing this through SpaMedica. Thanks to Sarah and the team.

Mixed feelings I'm afraid - Generally excellent environment and very positive and friendly staff (other than one 'jobsworth' at odds with the approach of the other staff strutting around and being bossy and patronising to the 'customers'). All went fairly smoothly and sequentially until it came to the optometrist who incrementally delayed people as the day went on so that my wife arrived to collect me as advised and then she sat in the car and I in the waiting corridor for another hour and a half beyond the suggested time and beyond lunch time to the point we both went past hunger into discomfort. To make the whole experience a complete waste of time whilst being very personable he disagreed with my optician's diagnosis and in response to my desperate need to be able to read and use computers (for work) he said he'd refer me back to the opticians for lenses to help with distance. I don't have a problem with distance that I've noticed and anyway I'd need a ***** big computer screen if I've got to use it from afar..... Back to square one and the best part of a day wasted. Seemed so promising so a real shame.

Disgusting place. Full of idiotic people that have no idea what they're doing.Same for their line manager has no clinical experience whatsoever and just says the most stupid things and blaitenly lies to you.Would never recommend going here as my father almost lost his vision all together due to these absolute weirdos.

They are brilliant. I had a short wait post opp but everything was well done and clearly explained to me. The opp itself is painless and my surgeon and his team could not have been more helpful or reassuring.

I visited today for an eye examination and was greeted by friendly and efficient staff at reception who couldn't be more welcoming. The nursing staff were thorough, charming, and professional and the optometrist again most proficient and who put me at my ease. The whole experience was first class.

my mother had a cataract operation appointment last week on the day I was phoned and told the appointment needs to be cancelled due to no translator. I said we dont need one I can do the translation. then the caller made excuse saying the operating theatre is too humid we need to cancel. At this point I had to take another date. That is today 23 August. Today at 11 am I phoned and asked if the operation is going ahead. some one on the other side took the details and said yes. The appointment was at 1.20 … just after 12pm I got a phone call saying the operating theatre is too humid and it cannot go ahead. They tried to give me a new date I didn’t take it. I phoned the head office asked they I was told one thing at 11 am and another just after 12 the person simply said computer system is down phone an hour later..( she managed to take details first.It suddenly went down when I asked the question. I really want to know was the theatre humid at 11 am today in Quedgley or suddenly became too hot after midday.I think you guys have other issues that you are cancelling appointments. I dont know if I should to drive to quedgley now to see if other cataract operation is going on… Or would it create a scene? Dont do this to other people as mentaly preparing and elderly for operation then cancelling is not nice.

Friendly, helpful professional service from all staff. Particularly impressed with the general cleanliness of the premises throughout. Five days post cataract surgery and I'm well impressed with the results thus far.
