With normality beginning to return after Lockdown, and weddings beginning to reappear, we wanted to celebrate Mark at Malthouse Photography. He took the photos for our Covid-restricted wedding in September 2020 and did an excellent job. He was flexible, understanding, professional, creative, efficient, likeable. He gave clear and relaxed instructions to us and our wedding party when needed; was present and active when necessary; appropriately distant when we needed space. He brought a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere but importantly took all the agreed photos in an uncomplicated and seamless manner. He was absolutely respectful of all Covid guidelines and helped everyone else to apply their own respect to those guidelines too. He was thorough in preparation and reliable in production. From the first contact, Mark was professional yet friendly and no ask was ever too much. After seeing his photography the first time, we knew we wanted to book him. From booking to the wedding date (which was a long time), Mark’s open line of communication was hugely appreciated. Nothing ever seemed too much for him! Meeting for our pre wedding shoot and talking through each detail of the wedding with both Mark and Sheila was much appreciated as it’s so much easier to discuss in person than over email. Their fine details ensured the day ran smoothly and all wanted pictures were taken. On the wedding day, Mark and Sheila were discrete throughout the day and polite to everyone. The timings were perfect. Although we’ve only seen a few of the images so far, we are delighted with what we’ve seen and look forward to our post wedding meet up to see the images and choose a select few for the albums. They both had such a genuine interest to our wedding and really have treated us well! Thank you Mark and Sheila!

Mark was the photographer at our wedding and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is extremely professional and personable. He was possibly the most organised person in the whole event and was always easy to contact during the run up to the wedding. His technical experience was impressive and, on the day, he was wonderful at advising people on how to pose and in arranging groups for photos. The photos themselves were imaginative and beautiful. Several wedding guests commented how brilliant he was both on the wedding day and after they had seen the photos. He has a wonderful eye for detail and took fantastic photos of flowers, rings, etc.

As soon as we booked our wedding date, I knew I wanted Mark to take our photos. Our paths had crossed at a smile workshop a few years previous. When we booked our wedding date, we didn't know that a couple of months later my future father in law would be diagnosed with a rapid terminal illness and wouldn't be there on our wedding day. With not much more than a weeks notice, Mark drove up to where we live where we assembled both bride and groom's family so we could have the photos taken we would have wanted on the day, and my future father in law had a request that he wanted a good portrait photo that we could display on the day. With very little notice we all piled into a local church hall. Mark is very clever at making something very beautiful out of not a lot! Mark handled the day with great sensitivity and in a time of shock and sadness, he created an easy comfortable atmosphere and we have some truly lovely photos from that time.Then enter Covid! We had to postpone our wedding three times but we eventually tied the knot at the Coppid Beech Hotel in Bracknell in 2022. Mark is really clever at seeing great photo opportunities that not many would think of........I don't think the hotel has ever had anyone lie down Infront of their illuminated fish tanks before, or use the nightclub cloakroom to create some unique pictures.Many of our guests have commented on how Mark worked away but was not intrusive at all, he is clever at catching candid shots without being noticed, and he puts people at ease - even those who normally hate having their photos taken.It's worth listening to Mark and his advice. We had a loooooooong list of photo shots we wanted, but actually we wouldn't have had time so we changed our thoughts and he was absolutely right. On the day his suggestions worked really well - ours wouldn't have. It would have been to labour intensive and we would have been rushing through which we didn't want.We wouldn't hesitate to use Mark again. We have some incredible photos to remind us of a truly beautiful day.

Mark took our wedding photographs after our original photographer gave up. He was professional throughout and listened to what we wanted and the photos were brilliant. Service was first class from beginning to end and we received our photographs really quickly. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark you won't be disappointed.

Wow what can I say, absolutely fantastic photographer. We hired mark for our wedding on the 10th of June literally such a quick turn around and got the photos all edited and sent to us yesterday. Professional and astute. highly recommend ❤️

We were recommended Mark by Milton Abbey as a potential wedding photographer. Mark was very professional from the day we first met him and listened to our ideas of what we wanted. He kept us informed before the day and of the rough itinerary in advance as well as the package of photos that would best suit our requirements.On the day he was brilliant, took some amazing photos that we love. We never noticed him when he was taking the photos (except the obvious bride and groom photoshoot part). Would definitely recommend Mark to anyone who needs a photographer.

It's really difficult finding a photographer for your wedding, you'll meet so many at wedding fairs, through recommendations and such. We had spoken with more than 10 photographers before we met Mark - Both of us knew straight away that he was the man for the job!Taking time and care to talk us through how he likes to capture the day, asking us about what we want from the photographs and showing us his great portfolio for ideas and inspiration. I was particularly impressed with Mark's business continuity plans - What would happen if he was ill, if the memory card corrupted or camera broke, etc. When you meet him, ask this question - I was blown away at all of the safeguards he puts in place to protect those special memories!We felt so comfortable and sure of our choice, it was a great load off our mind.On the day: Mark was a part of the day, but never in the way. A perfect mixture of the planned shots and natural ones, meant the photos were both varied and interesting - Exactly what we wanted. We also had two Videographers from another company, he made efforts to communicate with them prior to the day, establishing plans and boundaries so that both teams could work together and not battle for space. The group photos were handled really well, being firm but not bossy everyone got into place pretty quickly and efficiently! We had so many positive comments about him from our guests during and after the day.The photos: We were gobsmacked, we were expecting great things but they surpassed our expectations and then some. Superb quality, natural editing, great variation - Over the moon. We had our digital gallery within a few weeks and the prints not long after that.The albums: Presented beautifully, Mark made every effort to put together spreads that he thought we would like. This saved us so much time and difficult choices of starting from scratch, we only made a few tweaks ourselves before sending them to print! They were of fabulous quality throughout. In addition, on collection they were presented to us with custom finishes really adding to the personal touch.I cannot recommend Mark enough, we will absolutely be in contact for any other photography needs in the future as well as recommending him to friends and family wherever possible. We hired Mark from Malt House at relatively short notice for our wedding, after a insightful opening conversation and ongoing great comms Mark then proceeded to deliver AMAZING photos that we are thrilled with and will bring back memories for a lifetime of our big day. Mark worked really hard to get all the shots we wanted and put everyone at ease to ensure there were lots of natural photos with plenty of creative flair and interesting photos.
