Placed the order at 1548 hrs and waited 40 mins for the food. Upon checking with the staff, I was told that the chef was away and would be back at 5pm so I requested for a refund, one of the staff (I guess is the manager?) then kindly asked the kitchen to start working on my order. An hour later after I ordered, food eventually arrived. The bbq chicken wings and pasta were good but the grilled chicken breast was undercooked. They took the chicken breast away without replacing a new one. Quite disappointing experience.

Is one of the worst pub experience that I had in uk, I just to go regular with the other GM, nice and helpful lady. The new GM o manager, is soo rude and helpless. She thinks you own her a favor, just to come to “Her Pub” and expend your money, really unprofessional and unpleasant visit food is not edible. M & B has very different view from her on how tu run your pub I know by experience.

We went to the britannia for a quick bite to eat, it was lovely and good value for money however there was a lack of choice. as most of the menu was out of stock, however the service was great. Will return again

Only downside is the bar staff weren’t very attentive. We were stood by the bar waiting to be served while a member of staff was sat down right behind us which doesn’t give a good first impression. Our experience was quickly turned around by a helpful and friendly waiter (didn’t catch his name sorry) who brought our food out. We found the food to be very reasonably priced and of a much higher quality than I was expecting. Good taste and generous portion sizes. I think we were slightly overcharged but it was still only £32 for 2 mains and a pudding which I found very reasonable once we tasted the food. Overall a good experience which exceeded expectations, thank you!

Decent enough pub which served a good Guinness.I didn't eat here, so can't comment on food. I will say that at 1:15pm on a Monday the pub was quite busy and food was a 45 minute wait. The beer garden is pleasant enough.

There was a group of 10 of us and we pre-ordered the food. The cook came to ask about any allergies. The food was good and the service excellent. The only thing was I would have liked acknowledgement of my email when I ordered the food.

The food is good and the place has a great terrace. however, the system to order beers is very slow. Be ready to wait a couple of minutes while the bartender is typing on a computer system so you can do a simple payment.

Typical English pub but a lovely ambience, good and affordable food.I have visited twice, once for a birthday meal. There is a large sitting area outdoors; however, i have rated the atmosphere a 4* as the outdoor seating doesn't appear to be cleaned regularly. There is free parking within the premises, which is a huge bonus for oxford. It can also be assessed via bus as it's less than 3 minutes from the headington shops bus stop.

The extractor fan in the kitchen is broken atm, so some of the foods, including grilled stuff e.g.burgers, bacon, etc are not available. but still the seabass grill was good enough :) (fyi, fish and chips are available)
