Promenade Harwich
There's always something interesting to be seen in action on the waterfront or in the background architecture, around Harwich Promenade. The visiting ferries to Parkeston & container ships to Felixstowe Docks, are a sight that never ceases to impress me when they loom into sight. The best observation point is Ha'penny Pier, where the size of the approaching vessels feels truly intimidating. But even the smaller ferries & fishing vessels as well as LV18, provide interesting viewing & rewarding photo opportunities. Then there are the ever present Seagulls demanding attention, as do all the other visiting marine birds. Harwich's Promenade is the characteristic centre of a tiny town crammed full of interesting features. For things to see & history to discover, Harwich Town is truly, 'a gallon crammed into a pint pot'...
