I stayed at Upper Parsonage Farm in July while doing the South Downs Way on my bike. Incredibly quiet location away from traffic, lulled to sleep by the sound of quiet sheep. You have your own bathroom and shower for each site. A refrigerator and power to recharge devices are both very handy. The hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating, she gave me a lift back up the steep hill to the South Downs Trail. As a Canadian this was a true escape to the country in typical UK style! I will be back!

We stayed at Upper Parsonage Farm back in June. It is such a stunning site that is well-kept. Having your own toilet/shower is amazing and the owners are so lovely and came and checked if we needed anything each day. An absolute gem and we can't wait to come back next year! The best site we have ever stayed on!

This is a great little campsite, only 8 pitches and each pitch had their own little bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. It's a little on the basic side with no temperature adjustment for the shower, which could have done with being a little bit hotter, but i guess they have to cater for all. It's perfectly adequate. They provide logs for a fire at a small extra charge, for you to use in your pitches small fire pit.

I stayed in Sept 2023 for 7 nights.Super setup, lovely bathroom facilities and each pitch has a fire pit and picnic bench - so would describe it as having all the bells and whistles without being 'fancy'. Nestled right below Butser Hill - lovely location but not easily accessible by public transport. Very friendly and helpful managers.

Stayed 2 nights with my brothers, first impressions great! Quiet and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful hills and trees. Butser hill nearby and in easy walking distance. We had our own facilities which was great, very clean too. Very friendly owners, the nice lady even gave us fresh eggs from their chickens in the morning! Overall, a lovely stay and would 100% recommend to anyone that wants a peaceful getaway.

Those managing the camp site were so lovely, nothing was too much to ask and really went out their way to make sure we had a great stay! Loved the private bathrooms and separation of pitches with hedges making the camping much more private. Also great to have the fire pit and picnic bench.

Just had a week away in our trailer tent at this beautiful site. It's only small with perhaps 8 pitches and doesn't have any electric hook up but to be fair it was absolutely perfect and we didn't want it any bigger and despite not having hook up for our fridge we coped even in the extreme heat! (They have a fridge freezer on site for general use) The site has what appeared to be a pretty new shower block with each pitch being allocated a shower/wash room each (nice touch and never seen this before at any other sites) Thoroughly recommend it, great value for money and looking forward to a return trip sometime soon. Thanks Sue (the host) a fantastic little site

Very happy with my stay at Upper parsonage farm. The campsite is situated in an ideal location for anyone walking the South downs way or anywhere in the surrounding area. The facilities provided like firewood and secluded pitches were Excellent. I was also surprised to have my own toilet/Shower cubicle. The owners were very friendly and helpful. To top things off waking up and seeing the sun rise from the valley floor was beautiful

Fantastic little find. Owner amazing and introduced herself when we arrived. Went with a group of us and kids had a great time. Pitches are very generous in size, if taking a camper van would recommend levelling blocks. If the site had electric hook up then this would undoubtedly be a 5 out of 5 for me but this didn’t detract from having a brilliant time and will definitely go back

A lovely, peaceful setting, nestled amongst gently rolling hills away from traffic noise. We spotted hares and deer in the adjacent field and enjoyed an evening stroll up the hill to watch the sunset. The site is a small, single field with just 8 pitches backing onto the field. Although the pitches are quite close they are separated with hedges which give a sense of privacy. Each pitch also comes with a picnic bench which is a great addition. We particularly liked the washroom cabins which were designated for each pitch. Perhaps a post-COVID measure and a really nice touch. No queuing and great to be able to leave your stuff in there. The owners were really friendly too. Dogs allowed on leads and pitches have fire pits too with logs available to buy. The location is great for South Downs walking but also not too far from the coast.
