Kensington Group Medical Practice

Like many other places, you got both good and bad people in there. Dr Killiner is very patient and Danielle the former receptionist is very very friendly. But the very very short- haired middle-aged woman behind the counter at the reception is extremely cold, business look and rude. For a whole week I've been running between my Chemist and the surgery trying to get my repeat prescription and I still haven't got it. She makes it seem it is my fault to chase my prescription. People of this nature shouldn't be in the NHS at all.

Absolutely sick of this place. Don't care about your health, your just a number. Both me and my husband have been in for help on multiple occasions, our disabilities and health conditions are overlooked both mentally and physically. Communication between GPs is non existent. Made 3 complaints already about the practice and this is the last time I will let it go. Constantly chopping and changing medication that people need because they get more money off the government to keep the practice going. Makes sense since it nearly went bust for them a few years ago. I'll not forget to mention missing medical notes on many occasions! And also being sent round from pillar to post. Being questioned about diagnosis that previous healthcsre providers have diagnosed you with and them questioning you saying 'who told you you had that?' WHAT?! Disgusting that these are our 'healthcare professionals'

You have to patient when waiting in the queue on the telephone but generally they are very quick in dealing with your enquiry.

Reception staff are great. Especially Weronika who is always extremely accommodating with all appointment requests. Efficient and quick in responding. Highly recommend GP practice.

Have been going here since 2006. With the exception of long retired Dr adair it's doctors are almost all and always awful. It's often impossible to connect by telephone. Today I took extreme heart pain and rang at 1 25. I got a recorded message that surgery is on lunch break and to ring the emergency number. I rang it and of course its switched off. My last surgery visit around 5 months ago I made feeling pain and lethargy that requires me to often sleep for long periods during the day. When I asked the new female Dr if I had symptoms of a major illness or a cancer she said no if you had any of these you would be dead already. I've a dozen stories like this I could recount about this surgery. Absolutely avoid unless desperate.

I have yet again been highly impressed with the service I get from Kensington Health care. I am recovering from Covid and it was time for my annual bood tests which showed a problem with kidney and liver function. Dr Gunning surmised that the Covid infection had possibly compromised liver and kidney functions and therefore immediately ordered more tests to see if I was recovering from the effects of covid or if things were worse than that which would show in changes for the better in the latest tests. I was duly booked in for more blood tests within 2 days and had bloods taked on Friday morning. Astonishingly Dr Gunning then contacted me that Friday evening to reasure me that the test results were better and things were progressing in the right direction. She didnt want me to have to wait and / or worry over the weekend which I think shows a fantastic degree of patient care and really was going over and above the normal routine. This level of care is what I constanly receive from the doctors at this practice. They and their staff are charming, efficient and it is just a pleasure to be looked after by them. Awful . Been phoning for days to get an appointment from 8.30 am as soon as practice opens . Line is always busy or when you do manage to get through in the afternoon its a recorded message to say the doctors are fully booked to try again the next day. I did manage to get through a few weeks back as I have been suffering badly with migraines . I was able to get a telephone call with the doctor for 2 weeks later. I kept my phone nearby throughout the day waiting on the call but it never came.

It's hard to call the surgery at times but once you get through, receptionists are very nice and helpful. Same as doctors and other staff :)

We were waiting for my kid’s first vaccine (8th week) but received appointment after 10th week.When tried to book appointment for 2nd vaccine(4 weeks from 1st vaccine ) they said it’s system generated but after couple of weeks they booked appointment during in person enquiry during 10th week after 1st vaccine.3rd vaccine will be in his teenage.NHS shares vaccine schedule but this GP either doesn’t follow NHS rules or doesn’t know the importance of vaccine

While I like the Drs there... Why is it so difficult to get through via phone? And when you do get through, the receptionists are usually rude, grumpy or moody. They cut you off when you're trying to explain maybe a prescription discrepancy or something... Waiting or calling multiple times is one thing but at least have a better attitude when we've done all that just to speak to them...
