When I was informed that my mum has died and it was no ordinary situation, I was feeling awful and unnerved. However, I knew I needed to start looking for a cremation service, as in the past she had expressed her wish to be cremated and for her ashes to be burried in her birth country. It is always hard to trust someone with caring for your loved ones, but what made it even harder was the fact that I am in Cambridgeshire and she lived right where Devon meets Cornwall, so I was not able to go and choose funeral directors in person. My first instinct was to read and compare reviews of different companies on as many different platforms as I could find, which led me to South West Cremations.After having a further look at their website, I felt relieved by the fact that they use a respectable vehicle for transporting the deceased - to my surprise, during my research I found out that many other cremation companies use a common van.I have reached out and received a phone call. They could probably tell that I felt uneasy about the circumstances of my mum's death, and gave me reassurance in a very comforting way. I was offered to choose some flowers to be placed on the coffin, and a song or a poem for the cremation service. They were very helpful and willing to find out if my mum's favourite and very little known song can be obtained for my mum's cremation, instead of me being asked to settle for something different.As I understand, South West Cremations work closely with partners who all are deserving of highest recognition and a heartfelt thank you.Many thanks to Orlando for overseeing the process, and who in his busy day still managed to write a special letter needed for transporting the ashes abroad, during unsocial working hours, just to make sure I had it as soon as possible. Lovely communication and dedication to his work.Thank you to Gary, who I met in person when picking up the ashes - his warm and caring personality shone through in that short space of time, making me feel instantly relieved and reassured that everything was carried out with dignity and respect.And of course, thanks to everyone involved who I didn't get the opportunity to meet - I will be grateful for the work you've done while mum was in your care.

South West cremations were amazing when helping us sort the funeral arrangements for my Dad. They were professional from beginning to end and arranged everything exactly how we wanted it. Oak funerals did exactly what I had in mind . They were warm, friendly and always ready to help me with any queries . The cost of their Direct cremation was the cheapest I found in the south west area . I am greateful for their services .

I used South West Cremations when sadly my brother passed away in July 2022. I dealt with Marie and she was the most professional, knowledgable and compassionate person you could wish for in such a difficult time.She organised everything very quickly so I could to take my brothers ashes back to Poland for a family funeral. I can not recommend this company enough, from the very first phone call to the very final steps both Marie and her brother Gary were completely amazing. They made the most difficult time in our whole life's more bareable. They gave advice but never crossed a line, they honoured every detail we asked for, nothing was to much to ask even out of normal work hours. Marie was a massive support, very gentle and warm. They were both so kind and respectful. I can't thank you both enough for everything. Thank you so much both of you, I'll never forget what you have done for us
