Great place to launch a kayak/sup, not too much parking I the area though

Great small boat ferry between Rowhedge and Wivenhoe from Spring to late Summer, staffed by volunteers.

Half tide pontoon at a pinch, better for smaller craft, canoes, row boats etc, ferry has landing rights on inner berths during running CA. 1:45 around high tide. Slope access can be quite steep at low tides. Often used by families as a crabbing point, so take care when landing. It has a Life bouy for safety and at night displays a single flashing red light. It can get very busy on high days and holidays.
