Wonderful experience first time here today. Indy is a lovely person and so caring and professional. Took time to ensure I was genuinely comfortable and explained everything really clearly. I learned a lot about my eyes that perhaps shouldn’t have been new but was, and how to take the best care of them. The two front of house staff were also very kind, knowledgeable and skilled. It was a pleasure and I’m so pleased I chose this excellent business.

Couldn't be happier! Quickly and easily booked an appointment through the website. My eye test was extremely thorough with the time taken to explain every element of the test and what it was for - along with some friendly conversation. A great selection of unusual and stylish frames, and lots of help with the team trying on dozens of different options with their styling team. They really wanted to make sure I found glasses which suit my needs both stylistically, practically, and optically. (Updated with extra photo now I've collected some of my frames)

I have loved the personal service. The whole team their feel connected and interested in the customer. From the calls to book, the eye test, the frame selection, to the final frame fitting and even the adhoc times I pop in to have a tweak made the team are always friendly and helpful. I recommend Loxley if you want to feel like a human in the glasses purchase process :-)

I can’t fault the customer service and care I received at Loxley. I felt the eye test was thorough and I was walked through all personalised recommendations for my eye health. When buying glasses I decided to keep my frames the same but switch the lenses and I was very pleased with how fast they sent off and changed my lenses because I needed them 4 days later. I will be coming back next year.

Having been served for many years by an independent optician, upon his retirement—and the franchise being bought up by Boots—I found myself a customer of a big chain. While it was OK for a few years, the last two or three eye tests and contact lens checks have felt more and more cursory and 'production line'. Definitely not what I wanted. So I went looking around for a good independent optician that could offer the personalised and dedicated service I was after. Found it with Loxley. While a lot of the tests were the same, they were more in-depth, better explained, and felt more thorough. I felt more listened to and respected, and Indy was able to recommend what I consider to be better glasses and contact lenses than I was offered by the big chains. So glad I decided to go back to an independent, and am confident that Indy and the team at Loxley are the right solution to look after one of my most important senses for many years to come.

What a fantastic experience from Loxley Opticians, Nottingham. I am super picky, and don't like to be pushed into making decisions. Indy was so patient, knowledgable and really shared my vision throughout. Nothing was too much hassle. The whole service was incredibly professional. This is my third set of glasses from Indy and I needed them for a specific reason. He totally listened to my requirements, completed a raft of eye / health checks to make sure what I was asking for was both suitable and achievable, and didn't' push me in any direction whatsoever - totally professional and personalised service. I had my eye test today, I was not quite sure I would be on time for the appointment and I've called yesterday and explained that I may be slightly late and the lovely lady on the phone was so accommodating and lovely. Indy was fantastic, he has taken the time to explain the different results. I've been wearing glasses for 30 years and this is the most informative eye test I've ever had. Highly recommended.
