A proper place to pray and Slave Holy Trinity!

A spiritual oasis in a spiritually barren country! Definetely recommended.

Christianity as practised pre-schism. Beautiful Orthodox Church in a beautiful setting in Brookwood cemetery. If you want to visit, you will need to dress modestly, I.e. men in long trousers, and women in dresses/skirts which are at least knee-length, no open cleavage, and a hat or headscarf in the Church building.The monks are wonderful, but please respect their way of life. Advisable to telephone or email in advance (contact details can be found on their website, which is easily located on the net)The old mortuary next to the Church has a very small museum, which details the history of the mortuary, including the now defunct train line.The Monks residence is the third building, beyond the mortuary, and you should not enter the grounds unless specifically invited to do so by one of the monks.Went there almost 25 years ago and still go (although nowhere near often enough according to my confessor!).
