Just moved to the area and chose the most expensive hairdresser under the misguided you get what you pay for. Definitely not in this case. Not only did the keep referring to me to each other as the client" whilst I was sat there as if a) I wasn't there and b) they were on some reality show

I had an appointment with Amy who is an apprentice stylist at the salon. Amy was very thorough and professional throughout. I was given a hair wash as well as a lovely head massage, a haircut then a blowdry and style to finish. All the Windle & Moodie products used on my hair smelled amazing and I was very happy with the whole experience. Thank you Amy for making a great job, I will be back! :)

Went in to check out the place and wow, they are Super friendly and are very understanding about what your looking for whether it be Hair cut, dye or even Laser treatment it's a beautiful place to be and so relaxing as well and all for a fair price as well for what you get too I highly recommend Nelson Brown Salon for a relaxing experience

So, my appointment at Browns was today. I booked the appointment on 29th December 2021. This morning I received a telephone call to say that they had “forgotten” to ask me to call in for a patch test, even though it was only a toner they were putting on, and the couldn’t do it. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I had a bad experience with Browns a few years back, when they dyed my light brown hair dark brown and tried to convince me it was honey highlights. I said I’d never be back, but decided to give them another go. Well NEVER AGAIN!

My mum was a long term returning client at Nelson Brown, she had been underwhelmed by their treatment of her for quite some time, her usual hairdresser left the salon and was under the care of a junior (by the owners request) for her last few visits. My mum's hair is very thick and difficult to manage, the results wernt good but decided to stick with them (out of loyalty,) one more time...Again a learner was left in charge, she (the learner) became concerned that the cut wasn't going to plan and approached the owner for help and advice, while awaiting his attention the girl continued to cut, it was 25minutes before he appeared, by which time the damage was done.My mum went elsewhere to have it fixed and was told that the cut she had just had was a disgrace, it was as she described 3 cuts in 1.Thankfully the new hairdresser has fixed the horrible mess that Nelson Brown left her with.They charge the earth and the service they give in no way justifies the prices.Stay away !!
